mikeys toy[RL] Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 (edited) Filter or not, but never back to the engine. Thats how i allways have done it.Why go mess all carbie or EFI presetted mixtures with whatever fumes and i like my inlet ports clean better than black  HI-PE Boys at 1/8mile monsters use vacum pump to underpressurize crankcase. You can allso do it by inslalling a injector pipe to back of your exhaust and suck the fumes out trough pcv(from some bigger engine, not stock 3K vent). They seal the block from air to getting INside... :) you HAVE to run the lines back on efi; it must be a sealed system daisy used to idle a little rough like she had a vacuum leak...i could never find one untill i noticed the dipstick tube (i was using the 3kc one) it was pulling air into the crankcase from there causing a "false air" condition Edited December 13, 2005 by mikeys toy Quote
Trendact Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 Rally cars never have it going back cos it will stuff a engine that runs at high revs all the time. Rally cars are reving at 6500 + all day and I have been told it will blow a engine if you run it back, we have never had this problem as we vent to the atmosphere like all the other rally cars. You will need to have the PCV or at least a pipe back to the air cleaner for rego inspections but, this can be a fake pipe set up just as long as it looks like it works. Quote
Toycrash Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 you HAVE to run the lines back on efi; it must be a sealed system Yes closed system at rego, but no way hell to make engine run :) I made 2T with bosch injection(dumped straight to air) then i added turbo to it and same story. No worries, even i ran with stock 2.0l opel ECU with fingered AFM and water temp sensor. This is the shit bucket I'm referring to. Quote
