hey guys i found a RT118 corona wagon for sale. its a 4 speed manual, with a 18R-C engine, and its complete with only minor rust. are these a good buy? and its $300

Not my personal favourite of the 'Ronas, but I'd drive one if it was relatively clean and had a/c... Oh and the 18RC was ripped out, pulled apart, melted down, buried across 4 continents, and replaced with a 22RE.

i'd have one as per shadys post but replace 22R with 1/2/3RZ-FE

yes your correct des but i don't think brendans budget will allow this kind of behavior.

 

even just a hiace carbied 2rz would leave it with a good power and economy upgrade! and no hassle of changing to EFI.

hmm i have a feeling matt might have something laying around up there.....also he believes that there is no way i can make a corona wagon look 'good'? mind you he is a mazda nut, and racecars are the only way

Very low and 15x8 -22 sunraysures painted black. Paint the body white.

hmm i don't usually like this kinda look....but I'm thinking of leaving the original rims and chrome hubcaps on and going white walls? and lowered a bit

The keyword to making anything look good is clean.

Pick one 'theme' and stick to it.

Make the painted bits all the same colour, the chrome bits chrome, and the black bits black, and it'll look good.

Well one thing I do like is colour coding....so if I can get ot looking the way I want it it should look tidy

Well it looks like the wags will be mine just after Chrissy. Already have a set of 15's for it....black with polished lip for 200 with tyres ;) win. No pics yet but will keep you guys updated
