hey just wondering if any1 has upgraded the bulbs in the flat faced headlights? i can't see shit when driving around i have to put on the high beams and still struggle to see. the problem is there sealed i was wondering if any1 has ripped open the back of the headlights and done a dodgy blub upgrade?

Firstly there are two types of lights: sealed and semi-sealed.

If you haven't got semi-sealed lights you can't change the bulb, got to Repco and buy some semi-sealeds. Then look into upgrading the bulb.

 

If you have got semi-sealeds, I'm pretty sure they use a H4 bulb. You can go into pretty much any auto store and buy brighter bulbs, like these for example, 100% more light:

Wreckers is another option for the lights, not just the ke70 used those lights but other models as well.

Hi-lux jumps to mind.

that many other cars used those lights its not funny, when you start looking you will see, anything from other Toyota's to 180sx use them as well.

FIRST.... fit relays that take the earthing away from the switch! One of the first thigs we did and it made a MASSIVE difference!
