i have a good "oh f@$k" story to tell yas.....

one night after a storm (the road was still wet) and i decided to go for a bit of a spin and to show my mate my car......the first couple of corners we went around were fine.....drifting sideways and then coming back perfect. we came to a left hand corner that kinda sloped upwards, it was one of those corners you think "cool i can do that". however (theres always an "however") i started to put my foot down to kick the arse end out.

it was all going well until i realised that theres an Excel (dark green one) parked up from the corner a bit facing down the hill towards the corner. i then decided "oh f@$k" i'm going to hit that if i don't do anything......i took my foot off the gas a bit and hoped like f@$k that the back wheels would stop spinning......they did......eventually......about say this far | | away from hitting the green excel........

my friend was like.........cool  ..........i was like :o :) then after a while :fuzz:

needless to say i check now to see if there are any cars around (parked or driving)

we all learn the hard way. :D

Hehe, one of my "oh f@$k" stories:

Me and a few mates went for a bit of a cruise up Mt Nebo, Glorious etc. A rekki run, we were just double checking the notes again so we sort of knew the corners etc. Anyway, coming down the other side of Glorious where the roads are wonderfully well cambered, wide and smooth, flying down not really braking for any of the corners.

Was young, naive and overconfident, touching the handbrake here and there and getting the car a little sideways (hehe fun fun fun fun fun). Anyway, all was good until all of a sudden going through one of the wider corners the back suddenly steps on in a VERY large way, and I'm looking out the passenger window, full opposite lock, looking at the edge of the cliff coming up rather quickly.

Touched the brakes and swung the car the opposite direction, managed to catch the tail and pull it back the other way, spun a full 180 and so there I was half off the road rolling backwards down the hill (probably still doing at least 60...), looking at the cliff edge through the drivers side window and watching the kerb start again in the side mirror... Managed to somehow steer the car to *just* clip the kerb with the front wheel (sort of smashing the front bar on the way down...) and brake to a complete halt. *OOOH HEART RACING!*

But it wasn't all over! Around the corner comes the next car in the pack, and my heads going "umm, green 200sx coming real quick". Slam 1st gear and on the throttle, pulled the car past the kerb to the side of the road again...

Turns out the reason for the spin (apart from stupidity) was a big nail in the outside rear tyre, completely destroyed the tyre but thankfully left the rim undamaged...

I wonder why they didn't have an armco or something on that corner...

Chances? No idea, but I sure as hell picked one up... And then haha, the spare I had in the GSR was a directional tyre and guess what, it was the wrong direction :) So all the way down the mountain and back to Brisbane going the wrong direction, oh well :o

What other *oh f@$k* stories do I have... Hmm, geting HUGE liftoff oversteer in the GSR at Qld Raceway, rolling the GSR, almost crashing Pinky at Carnell (missed wall by like 2cm), running out of brakes going down Nebo in Pinky... just to name a few...

Let's just say that that last corner before the straight (the one that has walls on both sides) gets mighty slippery with everyone dropping rubber there and doing burnouts and stuff...

Came through the chicanes, dabbed the brakes to get the turn in right, and the tail slid right out. Wind on some opposite lock, all good. Then all of a sudden the rear end snapped back and all of a sudden I find myself heading straight for the wall! Jumped on the brakes and pulled the car up just short of hitting the wall front on... Rather interesting!
