If you go out looking for a clean ke70 you will wait years for 1, the car is 30 years old and back in its day it wasnt anything special , it was used and abused like most corolla's BUT thats the point of building them ! To learn how to do repairs , rust fixing , paint ,fixing basic engine problems all that stuff. It cost me what I sold it for $3000 (R24000) thats nothing !

you right spencer.

90 % of the durban box rollas are full of filler and have probably been done over about 4 times in the past 30 yrs.

i'll settle for an average 1.... hopefully from an old toppie in Bloem or Jozi.

thinking of letting go of my Rxi and getting a Uno 1100 for work and going all out on a KE70...

petrol is currently R10,31/ liter. whats the fuel price in oz?

Yea thats what you must look for in a ke70 .. old toppie( Grandfather )thats had it from new or second owner, up on the reef so no rust, will have some normal car park dents, faded paint, smells like old person in it 300,000 plus k's , grimy engine that still runs perfect , starts first time. perfect !!!

Question that's been bugging me for ages.

Why the hell do you call AE82's "wetlook"?

lol. i have no idea and have only heard it on the playtoy forum( meanly Cape members) and CapeTown classifieds.

its probably a Cape town slang thing coz no-one here says that.

i assumed it meant the car was sprayed with a thick clear coat to give it a shine aka wetlook.

Cape Town slang and durban slang are worlds apart like to foreign languages. 1 is coloured/ afrikaans based and the other indian/zulu based.

hope that helps.
