20V Screeamer

Greddy have already developed an Exhaust and a bolt on turbo kit is in the works. this drift 1 is powered by the STi motor though. heard its a straight fit, no need to modify mountings or anything.

Stock for stock. Runx can be taken out by the 20V corolla rsi and rxi. has happened many times. driver dependent. theres an art to driving the runX and keeping it in lift between changes. and again... only @ the coast.

come to think of it. it does resemble a camry. now its starting to rust a lil on the bootlid, so need to sort that out.

thanks trev. i meant " 6 forward" when i said 6 fwd. you havent seen all yet. we have over 50 toyo's in our club. a ke70 with webbers and some other work. a mk2 MR2 with a modded 3sgte. a mk3 MR2 with a 2zzge. 2 Overrated AE86 avante's a AE86 chisel with series 3 twincam and 20v throttles a AE92 with 4agze a conquest 20V a few AE 92 with 20V a AE92 4afe mildly modded but pushes 119wkw ( 20V eater) lots of Overrated AE92"s , lotsa corolla rsi's and rxi's (20V) and a few quick Runx Rsi's ( 2zzge) and 2 tazz ( 2E)

lol. i have no idea and have only heard it on the playtoy forum( meanly Cape members) and CapeTown classifieds. its probably a Cape town slang thing coz no-one here says that. i assumed it meant the car was sprayed with a thick clear coat to give it a shine aka wetlook. Cape Town slang and durban slang are worlds apart like to foreign languages. 1 is coloured/ afrikaans based and the other indian/zulu based. hope that helps.

you right spencer. 90 % of the durban box rollas are full of filler and have probably been done over about 4 times in the past 30 yrs. i'll settle for an average 1.... hopefully from an old toppie in Bloem or Jozi. thinking of letting go of my Rxi and getting a Uno 1100 for work and going all out on a KE70... petrol is currently R10,31/ liter. whats the fuel price in oz?

well plans are to make it a styler. 17" lenso wide and narrows black face with polished lip, the bbs syle. large tilt and slide sunroof. respray. oem front spoiler laminex headlights and clear of tail lights 6000k xenons and a custom sound install. i want a ke70 as a project car.... want to make look like your ex ke70 spencer. problem is that its almost impossible getting a clean 1 at a good price.

this is the corolla RSi produced between 1997-1998 20V BT 5 fwd c56 box, a/c, power steering, abs. NO central locking, elec windows, leather etc.

mk1 golf ceased production in 2008. thank goodness. i hate that car. But the power capabilties are endless on the mk 1 golf. common street conversions are 2lt 8V, 2lt 16V, 1.8lt 20v. no matter how fast your car is, there always a faster golf. a friend of mine has got a 2lt 16v turbo 1 and it makes 363 wkw. best time of 11.2 on the 400m. fully street legal, not gutted or anything.

thanks for the welcome guys... @ spencer... yeah man, guys at the reef think toyo's are a joke but get the shock of their lives when they see a lower powered toyo taking out turbo cars on the coast. We were also denied alot of performance model toyo's in SA. No AE86, supras, celica, levins,mk1 and 2 MR2 and import laws prohibit " importing second hand vehicles" . There are a few loop holes but will cost you an arm and a leg , theres also alot of conmen so its not worth the hassle. only performance engines introduced to SA were the 2T trd ke70, series1,2,3 twincam 16V, 20V BT, 2zzge. oh and the Auris TRD was just launched in SA, 1600 supercharged but still not enough to play with the VAG cars.

i changes the front slightly ie: smoked lights and that black section on the bumper... will post a pick of before. The corolla Rxi was the executive sport model between 1999 and 2002. comes standard with 20V blacktop motor and, 6 fwd tranny, oil cooler, a/c, p/steering, perpherated leather seats with double red stitching ,elec windows, central locking, abs, 15" wheels. etc etc motors were rated @ 115kw atf and 154nm. unforetunately, the std ecu runs on a closed loop that kicks out any chip tuning. so while the b16 vtecs are performing with just chip's , 20Vs need more serious mods. but all we need is good exhaust, and down pipe, a skimed head and 16 degree advanced timing and we can run in front of "stock" mk5 gti's, polo gti's, runX rsi on the 400. but thats only at the coast, Mine is has the original wheels, alot of us prefer it this way cos 17' wheels really kill the performance.

yep the golfs are still the same, theres a few euro style 1s... theres tons of 2lt 16v turbo golf 1s in my area. oh and majority of golf drivers with a cone filter still think they can take on anything :bash:

eish durbs has changed alot huh... but the drags are the same. usaully mackro, backstretch, chambelin rd. I'm not sure hw long since you left, but for a while, we had legal drags at the road next to greyville race course, well that was until a racer died in an accident due to poor safety regulations. rumour has it that theres a legal strip being built on the north coast near stanger. roy hesketh track in PMB has also re opened. toyota test track in Eston near PMB is now being hired out over weekends for drag days. oh and matubatuba and margate airstrips. cops are still hard as ever, cars are impounded for being lowered, cone filters, dark tint, xenon lights, having too big rims ie: if your car comes factory fitted with 13" wheels, you can't have more than 2 sizes bigger. its madness. btw why why why did you sell your ke70?....
