hey guys, sorry I'm new here, but I'm looking at buying my first car, just wondering if he price is high or anything and what to look for? its a ke70 wagon, had a rebuild 11 months ago and hasnt done much since, has rego, rwc and coilovers and a 4k with a 4 speed, heres the link anyways

Lundy sold it a few weeks ago for 4300

 

 

And he was pretty shocked getting that much, i reckon 5000 for a ke70 with a stock 4k in it is ridiculous.

i spoke to him just before about it, its still for sale, how much should i try and get it for then?

^OP said it's his first car, so he's probs on his Ps and can't drive a mod plated car anyway.

 

I personal think $5000 for that car is a rip, plus it's on boostcruising so it's probably only worth half of what it's advertised for. Boostcruising FTL :P

That's what I think aswell. No way would I pay 4-5000 dollars for a KE70 with a 4K in it. Doesn't matter how good the body and interior is, it's still got a 4K in it.

Just saying how overpriced it seems to be, mind you the amount of stock 4K 'hektik drifters' for stupid amounts of money on boost is pretty unbelievable.

It's ridiculous. Where do they get the idea that their 4K KE70 is worth 5000 dollars? People on boost do try and hustle you down a fair bit though so that might be their reasoning.

Here is some advice. you have really got to add up a few things. A. can you work on the car and to what extent and Skills. B. what condition is the car in and your budget. A + B = C (cost you should be looking to pay, simple assessment)

 

personally there is no way i'd pay $5000 for a ke70 with a stock 4k, but i can work on a car and will happily fix the odd problem. Really there is not too many rolla's your going to buy and something isn't tired or worn. if you have skills in fixing these cars they are very cheap to run. but if not they can be a money pit.

yea my dad can help me and he knows a fair few people that know what their doing and they will also teach me, i have a little bit of money to spend as i have been working full time to try and save for a car haha and yea i don't think i will end up getting the wagon, thanks

if that 4k is as fresh as a daisy with cam, double valve springs, extractors and aftermarket carb and receipts, the body is as Overrated as it looks in the photo and completely rust free & those wheels came with it on new tyres and it had a RWC then I would pay every bit of the $5,000

As it stands it's a P platers car with JDM stickers amd comes with wheels that would make it look like a POS
