  1. 4k is fine for rego- just change engine numbers, 5k is not unless you are chummy with the rwc guy. <-- which is a great idea btw because they can get you for anything if they want
  2. you're going for your license and not getting the car rego'd if I read correct? The rules state the car you go for a test in just has to be registered and roadworthy with a normal handbrake and working lights etc. The vicroads guy aint going to care what it sounds like unless you're doing skids etc :P
  3. there is a thread elsewhere on here about this, but all the good stuff and links is on the club k forums. quite a few New Zealanders doing it well. and the gravity feed thing is ancient technology, but you will need a specific bike fuel pump.
  4. keep it the same? I feel the general look of the car was great when you got it
  5. most of us are in corolla's because they cost ʞ©$ɟ all! If I had the cash and wanted ultimate P plate car I would get an rx7/8!!
  6. So I see frequently people saying the genuine oil filter for k engines is the only one that has the "non flowback valve" but today I bought a RYCO filter which specifically said it has "non flowback valve"... my oil light goes off as soon as the car is started. just incase anyone was wondering
  7. Taking bumpers off is illegal.. but good luck with everything
  8. Great guard/wheel tyre package! props to you :y:
  9. My first and only is a really nice ke30 (had P's for a year). I love it, it's fun to drive and gets heaps of attention from all the right people. However it only cost me $250 and it got rwc the same day, probably owes me $1500 by now and I'm just getting to engine upgrade stuff. Insurance is cheap which is a bonus :) BUT I borrow mums car whenever I know there is an hour long drive coming up and it's heaven! POWAH, cruise control, air conditioning, sound deadening, towing ability and storage/ passenger space that the corolla could only drool over. that list pretty much covers any car built in the last 20 years.. THE ONLY way you will find a nice one at a reasonable price is to search locally or snap one up 30 mins after it hits car sales, I would cry if mine owed me anything like $3-5,000! after owning it for a year I'm soo ready to get something newer looking at Subaru wagons in manual as we speak which make soo much more sense if you have the mone. Hope that helps
  10. that's a fair chunk smaller rolling diameter over standard! & no offence but unless it's CRAZY offfset the guards will swallow up the 6.5's no hassle with out resorting to stretching... which is the only reason you would do it? Moral of the story, more h3ktic wheels needed to not look stupid
  11. Epic winning, and ʞ©$ɟing original!!
  12. if that 4k is as fresh as a daisy with cam, double valve springs, extractors and aftermarket carb and receipts, the body is as Overrated as it looks in the photo and completely rust free & those wheels came with it on new tyres and it had a RWC then I would pay every bit of the $5,000 As it stands it's a P platers car with JDM stickers amd comes with wheels that would make it look like a POS
