Yeah it was a real damn shame that we couldn't stop it from slipping. But at least its not as bad.

Fingers crossed its just the band that need to be tightened.

If you can't get in to see Gilroy's give me a shout and i'll come over on saturday with jack stands, jack, tools in hand this time round and we'll get it sorted :)

We'll be going out the show for a while today. I'll be able to drop over after you finish work today and help with swapping the box over today and tomorrow if you want.

Kitted trimatic ?? :P

And lol, tri might be the got. Might try wreckers here b4 panicking

Last i looked Anzac wreckers had only rollas with autos, but that was a while back and they kept changing on their ideas of the rollas.

mirrors fitted.

gonna drop the auto to Gilroy's on monday to get a definitive quote.

got the 4 spd, mounts, front tailshaft yoke, and everything else ready to go for manual conversion, if its too exie.

only thing holding me back, is Gary from repower wont be open for 2 weeks to get my flywheel lightened...

so, an eventful week.

mounted mirrors, pulled the engine and box, out and back in twice..

chasing up everything to convert to manual, going a box from a ke70.

but the tailshaft, input side, from my ke10, wouldnt match the ke 70 gearbox output shaft, so i ring Joel, explain the situation.

to which he replies "no problem, mate, bring your tail shaft down, we will sort her out"

so i rock down that night, and after going thru his collection, for ages, we find one that mates to a ke70 manual, has the right length, and the same rear flange...!

after much tyre kicking, and tractor, manly talk, we leave there , new tailshaft in hand.

get hom after midnight.

Joel really went out of his way. thanks heaps mate.

picked up my clutch and scored some '82 ish Mazda 626 chaser rims 13"x5.5".

got 5 of them and the dress rims.

gonna paint them up over the break, getting 175/50 tyres fitted tuesday, AS-1 Nankang brand, lol

got on to Evan's Trim shop who will do the White walling when the tyres are fitted.

now its just a matter of waiting for Repower to open after easter, so i cna get my dammn clutch lightened, and ill be able to put it all back together.

oh, scored a ke36 wagon locally today too. getting it dropped off tomorrow
