Isam_31 Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 I am trying to find a nice set of bucket seats to fit to my KE70 but have a nice low driving position. The car will be regested so needs to be ADR approved. I have tryed a few genuine seats but I hit my head on the roof when sitting in the seat and this is with no hood lining yet. Any help would be appricated Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 (edited) fake bride seats wont be ADR? I have Autotechnica Monza sports in mine, any lower and my ass would be on the floor. They bolt in no mods to rails. And ADR approved but like all will need a mod plate. Edited May 14, 2012 by B.L.Z.BUB Quote
It's_AUDM_Yo Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 I've got an OBX Daytona which also ADR approved and fits stock seat rails with some elongation of holes if you prefer fixed backs. I don't hit my head and I'm 200cm or 6'7/8'' in old speak. So you should be fine. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 You're 6"7 and you can fit in a 70???? Your knees must be next to the steering wheel. I'm 6 foot and I just fit comfortably. Quote
rian Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 (edited) Hey Reed what's the Monza like? I've always wanted to know if they were any good, they come in fibreglass shell as well. I don't hit my head and I'm 200cm or 6'7/8'' in old speak. I've always wondered how super tall people drive KEs, I could hardly get my feet on the peddles with the standard steering wheel in the way and I'm about 6' Edited May 14, 2012 by rian Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 The Monza's are awesome, if I had the cash I'd get 'em recovered and fixed. Maybe too wide for some who want to be hugged, perfect for street driving though. And they get the thumbs up from the missus, she loves them. That is saying a lot. Quote

That's just how I like to drive, but I still have plenty of head/moveabout room. My brother's 6'5" or so, and his boofy hair was brushing the ceiling when he sat in it. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 I get in a stock one now and I feel like I'm sitting on the roof. I almost need a jap train handle to get out of mine though. And its not even as low as its going. Quote

Do you remember having just looked up the address for something, then forgetting what you were doing? Did your seat belt seem like it was closer to the end of its reel? Were any of the above also symptoms along with your head brushing vinyl, per chance? Quote

ATOYOTA Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 Well err I uhh... was hinting that you might have sat on a phonebook... But now I'm slightly uncomfortable. And a little scared. Quote
ATOYOTA Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 I wasn't before, but now you've kinda made me imagine that. Thanks. I was just about to go to bed too. 1 Quote
