Willis Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 Fake Bride off eBay FTW. Keep your stock seats for rego. Quote
19914afc Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 Had Monzas, hated them. Swapped them for celica seats were out of either a ra40 or 60 unsure but were comfy, sat lower than std seats and look factory. Then I bought a very good condition 2nd hand sparco seat from a ex rally car for $100 still have it now just fabbed up some rails myself not hard at all, and actually not too bad over a long drive to be honest. philbey Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 Keep in mind every sparco I've sat in is for skinny arsed blokes. I'm 6 2 and not that solid but sparcos are tight as. Velo were a much nicer fit and ADR approved. Quote
Willis Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 Same with every Bride I've sat in, philbey but I did fit nicely into one of them. Let's just say that I'm not in the 60 kg region hahaha. More the 90. Quote
It's_AUDM_Yo Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 (edited) When your my size you get used to not fitting in with doorways etc. :(( But there is more head room in KE70s than VS commo's. With the seat my head probably sits about 40-50mm of the roof so enough for a helmet which is all I need. And don't even get me started with finding size 15 shoes. ke70dave Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 what you want is a factory recaro. the benifits of a factory seat (largish comfy size, relatively easy to get in and out of) with the benifits of a recaro (awesome comfort and hold you in like crazy) found in a fair few cars, i had one from a DC2 honda integra. and i also had an aftermarket "SR3" as well, which i think was the same as the factory ones just the gineric fabric. the DC2 one was a really dark swede! Bought them both for around $400 each. but they seem to be mroe expensive if sold in a pair. Sure its a bit expensive, but once you have a decent seat, you never EVER go back to oem or even a cheap bucket seat. you can hack up a standard ke70 seat rail and bolt it to the recaro too, i had mine mod plated this way. Grand Master of Awesome Posted May 14, 2012 Report Posted May 14, 2012 MA61 seats are amazing. Super low and hold you well. Quote
19914afc Posted May 15, 2012 Report Posted May 15, 2012 The sparco I have is actually a very good size, not made for someone born in japan, haha. But yeah the factory type recaro seats are also great as Dave suggested. One of my mates just recently put AW11 mr2 seats in his T18 with very little modding I think he just enlarged one of the holes slightly or something. Quote
offsett Posted January 25, 2013 Report Posted January 25, 2013 sorry to bring up a old thread! but do the ma61 seats bolt up to the standed ke70 rails?? thanks blake Quote
