hi guys,

so, i got lucky and talked Ryan into doing a deal for his EL31 GP2 Turbo

specs are:

3ete 1.5l turbo

4spd auto(3spd plus O/D)

TEMS adjustable suspension

 

this beauty only has 108,000 k's on the clock, and it shows..!

everything still feels near new

 

plans are to tint the windows, proper lowered springs, and get a decent exhaust

restore the paintjob, redo the stickers on the drivers side

then drive to the RC meets and shows, til something breaks, can't find parts, and cry

came with a RWC so all i had to do was race to the Dept Of Transport when i finished work on Friday to register her.

Rob and I, drove to Dave's work to show him and take her maidenhood, well sorta, and give her a short cruise

but i didnt want to drive her much til i changed the oil/filter/auto fluid etc

 

washed her today, and took her for spin, after the service

took some pics at Uni along the way

came across this info when searching today, as i have nfi:

General Info:

The beefed up version of the 3E-E, the 3E-TE again is very similar to the 3E-E with the exception that it is turbocharged. This update necessitated a new exhaust manifold, stronger connecting rods, lower compression pistons, and larger injectors. There is not much known about this engine as it was only sold overseas. It is assumed the valve stem seals will go after 100,000 miles the same as the other 3Es.

Block: 3E, 3E-E

Crankshaft: 3E, 3E-E

Connecting Rods: 3E (downgrade), 1st gen 5E-FE (downgrade), 2nd gen 5E-FE (1995-1996, downgrade), 2nd gen 5E-FE (1997+ downgrade), 5E-FHE (upgrade)

Pistons: 3E (higher compression), 3E-E (higher compression)"

 

the bit i highlighted, seems true to these, from every thread i came across...this has just gone over the 100k mark then i am sure they are on the way
