September 18, 201214 yr comment_627385 G'day guys, Just a quick one I'm going to buy some lock nuts for my cars, But i need to know what angle factory corolla wheel nuts are where they enter the wheel.. As they have about 4 different ones listed.. And also at a guess mag nuts would be different to just stockie nuts in this regard? Cheers Report

September 18, 201214 yr comment_627404 what exactly do you mean jono? do you mean the flange on the base of the nut? if thats the case i have never heard of there being different types, except for what they call a 'lug' nut, which actually has a tubular base that fits inside the stud holes of the wheel. or if you try to use nuts designed for steel wheels on an alloy rim. the other way around doesnt really make much difference......also let me know which type of lock nut you want to get so i can steer you clear of the ones not to use........and yes, being a tyre fitter i have had to remove way too many ;) Report
September 18, 201214 yr Author comment_627410 Nah not shag nuts, Just normal Steelie nuts, the stockie open enders I'm not sure model really dictates it? As mine work on my ke10 stockies, ke70 ones and my datsun ones Report
September 18, 201214 yr comment_627422 oh the thread isnt really a problem, its the design shape of the lock nut itself, and the lock nut key. they have a tendancy to strip out and go pear shaped. do you know what shape the lock nut key that you want to buy is? or the pattern of the lock nut? September 18, 201214 yr Author comment_627426 Uhm, I'll find the link soon and shoot it through to you on facebook? If it rounds out ill grind the nut square on 2 sides and get it off with a shifter.. Not the first time i've done it! Report
September 18, 201214 yr comment_627440 yeah, its mainly the yuppies that buy el cheapo lock nuts to put on their mags that are recessed into the wheel :/ shit gets interesting then Report
