Medicine_Man Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 My engine has been converted to run on unleaded by the way, I run it on BP Premium unleaded, I can notice the difference when I run it on anything else.. Quote
demuire Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 My engine came with hardened valve seats, and I have been running BP Ultimate for the past year with zero problems :P Quote
Wood§tok Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 as far as exhaust notes go, i think my mates beetle with a worked 1916 engine, tuned extractors and a stinger zorst (read trumpet) will sound quite angry... oh, and i like to run on optimax. more power more smoothly more better or something... irokin Posted June 14, 2003 Author Report Posted June 14, 2003 I'm running 96RON Caltex fuel (because i get like a 1 or 2c discount when i buy it) but I may try getting a tank of 98RON from BP or shell just to see how much "better" it is. All Feb '73 onwards corollas came with hardened valve seats (apparently). Quote
