Hi just wonding if there are any threads on this. I've searched but haven't found anything. Having no air con in Townsville is killing me. I'm wondering how difficult/expensive it would be to add. Was air con an option on this or equivalent models?

any info greatly appreciated.

Aircon was a factory option on all models, at an extra cost. Not hard to fit if you know what your doing. Give me a few hours, got something you'll love, and wont be able to find anywhere else on the net :D

i have aircon in my 4k ke70. don't use it coz i have to flat foot to maintain 100km/h up a slight incline

nicks right, convert to something with more jizz, then get aircon :D

go to a motor shopy thing like autobarhn.

evaporative air cons that plug into you ciggie lighter

they go for around $50 yeah sure its not as effective as actuall air con but its cheaper and doesnt affect engine performance.

just remember to fillt he water canister or its just a fan

Thanks for the replys guys. I was hoping they'd be common but it doesn't sound like it. The 4AGE option sounds good but I haven't got those kind of $ to spend. Going from slug to slow, I assumed that'd be the case but it's 95% a town car and I think I'd rather have nipple erections and a slightly slower car than a pretty slow car that doubles as a sauna.

So suppose I did come across a unit at a wrecker, how much should I expect to pay for all the parts? Any vague idea? And would it be relatively straight forward to install?

These 12v plug in deals... I'm guessing it's like one of those evaporative coolers and not really an air-con right?

thanks again guys.

Evap. cooling in Townsville just wouldnt work. Was up there in June last year and i was feeling the heat coming off the plane.

Evap. cooling would turn the car into a sweatbox me thinks.

Definitely right - even more of a sweat box than it already is.

It's nice up here in June, you should try Dec/Jan. Looks like we might have some cyclone action now too - it's all fun.

Thanks for the heads up. At least there are *some* around. Too bad Tamworth is so far from Townsville. I'm sure I'll come across one eventually.

Yeah, the 4kc is slow without a/c and I'm sure it'll be wore with it. But it's a sacrifice I'm prepared to make, it's just way too hot up here to not have air-con.

thanks
