Ive just bought myself an 82 KE70 and the fan/heater only blows through the defrost vents. ive been searching for a solution online for ages now and i found out that it could be the vacuum line has come loose or has a hole. but i can't find the damn thing and i can't find anything specific to the KE70 about where it is or anyone who has had the same problem. can anyone help?? oldie Posted March 19, 2013 Report Share Posted March 19, 2013 I thought they were cable operated,have you looked up under the dash behind the selector levers to see if they are cables and then trace their route as they may have come loose from their fixings.I will have a look at my KE70 later and see what I can see. rian Posted March 19, 2013 Report Share Posted March 19, 2013 (edited) Edit: Beat me to it^ KE70s use cables to control all the cabin air vents and heater. Look under the dash all follow the cables (the look like brake cables from a bike) from the control panel to where they hook on to the levers that open and close the ducts. the one that controls the defroster has likely come off. Does the fan only blow out the center vents or is it meant to come through the side ones too.
