Verdey0
Hey guys, I'm new here and just purchased myself some form of Corolla. I'm under the impression that it is a KE30, 1977? I've tried googling but cannot seem to pin-point the exact year/make. Any help is greatly appreciated!

B.L.Z.BUB
The build date should be on the build plate.
Verdey0
I haven't taken delivery yet, the only plate I seen is the one pictured. It's a complete car, everything is inside or in the boot. Pretty happy!
Verdey0
Does anyone know what wheels these are?
B.L.Z.BUB
The ones on the front are Dragways or a copy of them.
bruce
Does anyone know what wheels these are? As above. Beat me to it. The front one is known as Dragways or Splats. It could have Dragways written in the centre part near the wheel bolts. If not they are copies Edited October 9, 2013 by bruce
Verdey0
Wow thanks! I've got a set of four, decent condition. The corolla is home with me now, started sorting through everything.. has plenty of spares 3 grilles, alternators, the rear vent insert?, tail light sets, clusters, dash surrounds.. bruce
There should be another plate somewhere in the engine bay with the build date. Looks like after 1976 with the bonnet vents and the style of interior. Probably got the later style dash. Got any engine bay shots?
Verdey0
Yeah, it's 1977, checked the plates today :) I'll get some more photos tomorrow, gotta keep sorting all the parts.
towe001
What you'll be after is the compliance plate which will be located above the brake booster. It'll have the build date of the car (month and year) the ADR rules the car complies with and yadda yadda. I'm not even going to bother guessing a year. If its a late model your lucky its a manual if you want to swap in a five speed manual or your unlucky if your planning on swapping in the trimatic. Verdey0
It's 1977. Nah, keeping it manual but just the four speed.
Verdey0
Today I got stuck into it and removed all the seats etc. Can't figure out how to remove the dash just yet. The dragways are copies, nothing stamped on them anywhere!
