Just bought a 78 Corona wagon and want to put a five speed in it. What fits? Engine is a 18R, not modified at all just want lower revs on the highway? Cheapest best option?

Being an r series its probably a w40, if so you can just chuck the existing bell housing etc onto a w50.

Cheers? would the W55 and W58? also fit?

Nah they have a different bell bolt pattern

Later Celicas had R-series engines and the W55, so it might work depending on model. W58 was the Supra box though so different pattern there
