B.L.Z.BUB
I really wanted to be able to switch my SC on easily, reaching for the switch on the dash was getting tedious. I also wanted it steering wheel mounted for thumb operation. So I went to Jaycar and got some coiled cable and a temporary on button. Found an old fender mirror thing which I bent and cut into kind what I wanted. Tested to see how the button would fit. Contact adhesive and cheap black vinyl. B.L.Z.BUB
I didnt end up running the washer. Added some velcro so its removable. Wired and mounted it. All the button is doing is completing the circuit from the AFM to the ECU, so the ECU and SC relay are still doing all the work. B.L.Z.BUB
Shitty video of it in action. Just took it for a spin, works great. The spiral cord is a bit annoyign and I considered using the horn circuit but then the horn is useless. Ah well it was a fun experiment. :) Edited November 15, 2014 by B.L.Z.BUB
rian
Your spiral cord has to hang low for ultimate gangster points. Edited November 15, 2014 by rian
rian
Also, how do hold the button down when you're going around corners? You should totes put in a turbo light like in Knight Rider.
B.L.Z.BUB
It's only meant to be for quick bursts off the line or overtaking. If I want it on for twisty stuff I have the switch on the dash I can toggle instead.

Super Jamie
I like your stereo. And your sunglasses golder. And your gauge holder. This is cool. Where did you get the vinyl?
altezzaclub
Why not have it under the accelerator? Just hit it hard enough and it comes straight on.
B.L.Z.BUB
Because I don't want to toggle it every time I accelerate. I have a dash switch that can make that happen.
B.L.Z.BUB
Where did you get the vinyl? Spotlight, its like $15/m about 1400mm wide.
