I know nothing about celicas but I thought all ta22s

came out with twin cam 1600s

I'm looking at buying one but it has a single

Which model cam out with the twin cam?

All Australian delivered rear wheel drive Celicas were single cam. LT's and some ST's. That includes the later RA40's RA60's SA63's etc

 

Lots of 2tg's and 18rg's were brought in by importers and were a simple bolt in change. There is more to a GT than just the engine though.

 

Buy it! We can organise you an 18RG from an RA40, we have a few....
