Hi again

 

I'm looking at being given a pair of 1st generation Honda Civic 3 door

 

The man who is giving them to me simply wants them gone off of his farm property approximately 100 km away from where i live

 

Pictures will come shortly, but i do not know if they would be a worthwhile investment/if i should bother with them

 

can't find much information about them, would they be a desirable car or not?

 

Need advice, what should i do?

OK, ive just came home from inspecting them and theyre in pretty beat up shape

 

They might be too far past it, but what did i expect from cars that were free, I'm just glad i was offered :D

Its in not better shape, and has the roof cut out and being used as a shooting car

 

My primary turn off from these cars is the fact I'm going to have to hire a trailer and spend a few days getting the pair home

I used to work on them many years go at a Honda Dealership, they are surprisingly quick cars for what they are, as they are very light, the 4 doors Civic's run a 1500cc motor & the 3 door run a 1200cc motor ..

 

Depending on what you want do with them ? they look to be only parts cars really ..

 

As you were possibly eluding to generally the cheaper that cars are bought for the dearer it works out in the long run if you intend on restoring them to get them back on the road, basically spend good money to start with & spend less in the long run ...

Would you say it would be worthwhile to bring these two home?

 

I might bring them home, pressure wash them and flog them off on gumtree for a quick few hundred in as-is condition

I would think by the time you pick them up, I'm guessing hiring a car trailer too plus fuel & then clean them up & unless you know you can get $500 plus I feel its not worth it & by the looks of them I'm sure you would struggle to get close to that ??

The three door jewelery .....bars etc are very collectable. They may not be worth money complete but there are international peeps looking for the early parts. Pm me and i'll give you the run down.
