kickn5k
thanks mate. Will check them out..! They are cool blokes, met them through a good mate. They started off opening a workshop setup, with a heap of stations that you hire. They include mc hoist, tools, fab and electrical equipment to build choppers to cafe's and everything in between. They did it to help people that live inner-city and have no room to build/mod their dream bikes. Pretty badass idea if you ask me.
nerfbat
that's awesome mate..! Shame they arent local to me.... :-/ huge week at work trying to get a Komatsu D65 ready for a customer, we had to have it on the truck by 830AM today. early starts, late finishes(think i did 60hrs, others did a lot more), repairing a shtload, lots of gurney'ing, degreasing, and more gurney'ing. anyhow, it was a huge kent of a week, and this was my afternoon Nothing like feeling the wind in my hair, after a big day work. no hair on top(read:BALD), I gotta compensate somehow, lol man, i needed some wind therapy today Edited June 13, 2015 by nerfbat

nerfbat
So I finally got a weekend off, and was meant to ride with a few mates part way on their around Australia trip. I get up early, and arrive on time at the fuel station as planned. No one there.... i waited for a good half hour, while trying to call. no answer. So I text them saying I am heading west along the agreed route, in case i bump into them. This was stage 1 of what I call my 'Nigel No Friends' cruise.. I do 200 kms west looking for them, when i figure i will never find them, So i head north east, passing Kaimkillenbum that's a plasma cut metal sign behind me Pull up at a pug which has a Jack Daniels' styled ute with Shrek, drunk in the driver's seat, sleeping. I slowly meander towards home, enjoying the ride. Pull up at a fuel depot to top up, and I hear the rumble of some bikes, and sure enough, a large group arrive for fuel and provisions
nerfbat
I wave and smile to them, go chat to a few, there was an older deaf guy with a brand new Indian Roadmaster, a sexy Triumph Triple, a very tough looking Rocker, among others. I ask who they are affiliated with, etc. And they just reply it's a social club, and they invite me to ride with them for the day. We pull up at Goombungee pub for a counter meal at lunch sneaking in a few pics someone got a pic of me sneaky selfie with the Rocker while the guys are fixing the Ducati
nerfbat
we then head down to Fernvale via Esk and stop for a cuppa. This was where we split up as they had to head East, and I, West to get home via the dams pulled up for a quick J.D. at Esk pub got home that night, having done over 800 kms for the day, exhausted Seat held up well, though I am now in a rush to get my mini apes and saddlebags ASAP. struggled the next couple of days at work, suffering from Old Man Syndrome....lol

nerfbat
cheers mate. A lil too stiff TBH, but low is right..! Bars are nearly finished for my Street's next evolution Made them the same diameter as the forks, 37mm, down to 22mm where its needed. Hope to test fit tomorrow before my night shift More pics then So, plan is to 'Fake the Rake'. Make it look like I've changed the rake of the bike, by dropping the rear(Which I've done), adding my custom Apes(pictured), and cutting off the fork gators to accentuate them. Making it look like a chopper...at least i hope...lol Also, fabbing up a Springer seat, whole new rear guard setup that will be fixed to, and move with, the swingarm New tail light, and indicators
