My transmission blew not too long ago, and I'm having trouble finding a new one. I have the 3KC and I was wondering what other gearboxes would fit in my car with that engine or if I have to get a k series. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

The T-series fits with the unicorn bellhousing, the K-to-T one. They exist, but very rare. Other than that we will be going back to fitting autos as the K manuals all die from worn bearings and no replacements.

 

Unless someone finds bearings that fit somewhere in China, or bearings that are close enough so we can machine a shaft down to fit, as the cageless rollers in there are just no longer made.

I'm guessing it's a ke55? You can put a ke70 gearbox in it but the shifter sits further back. So you'd need to cut the shifter hole out a bit to fit, other than that everything will bolt up.

Not sure how much it will cost to get a whole other gearbox shipped to the states? Maybe an option?
