Yeah the GT40 coil will fry the dizzy....

 

"Try" and get your hands on a Denso coil, these have a longer snout on the bit where the coil wire plugs in....they are a little bigger too....you may find one in the wreckers.

Failing that, would a bosch one from supercheap that says designed for electronic ignition suffice?

Oh and what did the electronic dizzys come on standard just so i can see which one bosch recomends out of its catalogue.
