well i ran a wanted add in the quokka for standard engine parts. and i have a few irons in the fire, camshaft enginring has two jigs , one a stage two mild grind or a stage four WILD grind based on the serria cosworth. maybe i just get both :D

 

Same cam as i have in mine now Chris,the wild one,

 

A3 grind,the A2 grind is a little milder,which i also have here.

have you got some specs for those cams? would be interested to add them to the dyno2000 camfiles i have.

 

Ok man here you go.

 

A2 40/76 296 degrees duration. 220" Lift at the cam. Tappet clearance IN 0.020" EX 0.022"

 

A3 50/86 316 degrees duration. 240" Lift at the cam. Tappet clearance IN 0.020" EX 0.024"

the bigger grind you have listed has only 0.360 thou (gross) at the valve....

 

i sort of think they should have bumped up the lift for the translation over to k series. a 5k just doesn't have anywhere near the valve curtain area of a cosworth 4 valve head.

 

anyway, hope it works for you. :)

Yeah i think youre right ,which is why i am using the bigger valve area.

fair enough, probably help even things up.

 

what type of valves have you got in there? sizes? compression ratio?

Not sure on the exact size but there is like .030" between the two valves,the comp ratio is only 10.5 to one.

 

Have you run the cam on the DYNO2000 program Vs other cams yet like the CAMTECH 609.
