Front suspension is modified ke25 struts, with kings springs (coilover), and Noltec Solid adjustable Caster/Camber top plates. It is fitted with a full alloy roll cage, Strut Brace, All seats and carpet removed, VELO Race seat with 6 point 3 inch race harness. KE25 RACER Posted May 28, 2006 Author Report Posted May 28, 2006 Thanks mate for the welcome! I'm glad i came across this site! Here are some pics. I'm after $1500 for the motor, with the haltech and exhaust and throttle bodies, the motor was completely rebuilt only 1 month ago for a race meeting, The injection setup is very unique, quad throttle bodies are from a GPZ1100 motorbike, The manifold is custom to suit. Hope u like the pics guys.!! Quote
Jono Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 Love it!! What exactly are the rules for the Improved Production class? Quote
KE25 RACER Posted May 28, 2006 Author Report Posted May 28, 2006 The rules for imp production racing are very good actually, there is a few rules as far as Engine must be of the same configuration as your model car (eg 4cyl, 6cyl inline, V6, V8) and the block must be made by the same manufacturer as your car (Eg. Toyota, Nissan etc.) Cylinders heads are pretty much open to anything, you can use forced induction however you will need to run restrictors on the turbo, Brakes are open to anything that you can fit inside a wheel 1 inch larger than standard on that particular model, Gearbox is open but no more than 5 forward gears. The are obvioulsy alot more rules but that is basically the major parts. Quote
ancullen Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 Pity about the weight restrictions that apply though. Isn't there some sort of rule about any car being issued with a log book after 1 January 2004 has to run as a late model car, and therefore has to comply with minimum weight restrictions? Quote
KE25 RACER Posted May 28, 2006 Author Report Posted May 28, 2006 Yeah there is late model and early model classes, there are weight restrictions yeah. It is a great class with all sorts of makes and models, all sorts of engine combinations and very close competetive racing! and a great bunch of guys aswell. And you have to run on a controlled YOKOHAMA TYRES A048R Quote
ancullen Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 Yeah, that's going to be expensive for me when I finally get my car ready (years away yet). I know that 14" A032R's cost about $220/wheel, but I suppose the performance is worth it. I'd be the A048's will cost even more again though :(. Quote
KE25 RACER Posted May 28, 2006 Author Report Posted May 28, 2006 Well i still run 13 inch wheels at the moment, i paid $205 per tyre only a few weeks ago. Quote
Jono Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 Sounds like fun. do most people run cages? did the jdm ke20/25s come out with a 12" or 13" wheel? Quote
KE25 RACER Posted May 28, 2006 Author Report Posted May 28, 2006 Hi mate, yes all cars ahve to run cages, These cars have to be log booked by CAMS. And cars are checked before all race meetings. I believe they came out with 13" wheels. Quote
Felix Posted June 23, 2006 Report Posted June 23, 2006 i was going to ask you this in your add for the 20v water plate, but decided here was a better place for it. what are you doing about the dizzy at the back of the head in yours? recessing the firewall, or converting to a crank angle sensor or something? Hi mate, well i am converting the dizzy as a pick up for a coil pack setup, basically i just use the bottom of the dizzy with no cap, a waste spark setup. It is a tight fit but it does work. Ill have more pics for you guys soon. Quote
