You could probably get away with using your current gearbox. The best option would be to buy a half cut and rip it all out from that! It really depends on what option you want to take though. Wether it be 20v, 16v or GZE. don't take this the wrong way but to be honest as its your first car it may be a better option to save ya cash, drive the rolla till it dies (which may be a while... its a Toyota! :) ) and then go out and get either a Corolla already with the motor you want (4age) or another car altogether. ( must be a Toyota :monkey: ) At the end of the day though it is your call.

i wasn't goin to put it in this rolla it would be the next one. i was thinking about doin but for the next rolla i like the 82 better than the 92 but the 92 has more room inside

What's price for changing a small-port 4A-GE engine to a AE92 then????

20v Head + 4AGZE block with stock bottom end + turbo manifold = 20v 4AGTE

 

Ask faulksy about it. He has one and it will soon be fitted to his AE82 FX-GT :ninja:
