Raven Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 I don't have a puller remover but have you tried using a screwdriver or something to pry it off with? Quote
coln72 Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 2 BIG screwdrivers are all you need to ease the pulley off. Quote
ToDa30/4 Posted July 11, 2006 Author Report Posted July 11, 2006 tried the screwdrivers ,its well melded with the crank .try & try again i supose :hmm: Quote
Taz_Rx Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 had to make a few "speacially tools" lately to remove parts like flywheels and crank pulleys from a 12a. ie, get a nice solid piece of steel that you could drill holes in and bolt to the pulley somewhere, then give it a good tap with a "persuader". just make sure you don't bash it too hard and imbed the pulley in your radiator!!!! :hmm: Quote
Jason Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 get a peice of metal, dril holes were the crank threds go, put a large nut were the crank is and bolt down the plate, comes out easy Quote
ToDa30/4 Posted July 11, 2006 Author Report Posted July 11, 2006 meh ! looked at it and turned around & spent the day working on the GT4... tomorra i'll get MIN out my big BP hammer ,and talk to it :hmm: CHEERS for your input guys now i have a list to try out :y: Quote
Robert Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 Ive got a puller, but i don't know if it will work on a 4k crank pulley Quote

Raven Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 Rob definately is the man. He delivered me the manifold i needed and only wanted $5 for it! Â Still can't get enough tighteness on it though so its still leaking, the bloody thing :jamie: Quote
Raven Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 The nut on one of the studs is tight as and when i go to undo it, it just unwinds the whole stud outta the manifold :jamie: Quote
Robert Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 you should buy some new studs from mitre 10 Quote
Raven Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 Yep, i might have to. Its getting ridiculous haha. Quote
