Raven Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 I have a brake upgrade sitting here for my panel van. It consists of RA40 celica front struts with KE30 strut tops and pedders lowered springs. So I was wondering, since these struts bolt to the KE30 control arms and apparently the control arms are interchangable across KE2x and KE3x-55, could I bolt these struts onto my KE25 control arms and either leave the KE30 strut tops on or put the KE25 ones on and bolt them in without hassle? irokin Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 In my experience the control arms are not interchangeable. The KE2x arms are longer than the KE3x/55 so unless you want to end up with fulli sick positive camber pass on that option. Also the KE2x steering knuckle bolt is smaller than the KE3x from memory. NickZ Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 (edited) ra40 struts will not bolt to ke30-55 steering arms, you have to change to ra40 lower control arms and the ra40 steering arms, the ball joint is also diffrent so you can't just put the ra40 steerig arm on the ke30-55 lower control arm. the ra40 and ke 30-55 lower control arms are the same length. Thats my experience as i have done this conversion on my ke30 Edited August 12, 2006 by NickZ Quote
Raven Posted August 12, 2006 Author Report Posted August 12, 2006 Interesting you say that because i have a KE3x lower control arm from the wrecker and the strut bolted straight to it. Research also shows that they use the same part number. Would it be possible to put the KE3x ball joint in the KE2x lower control arm? Quote
