MRMOPARMAN Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 wasnt it the porsche 924s? Quote
muller Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 (edited) Yes it was the Porsche enduro that had that large prang. Hope he is alright too. Thanks for all that attended the meet, much apreciated. Bad luck to the people who wanted to but just couldnt get away to be there. And perhaps next time for all the people that didnt know about it. As for the day though, was good fun. Nice little bbq to kick things off and meet a couple of new people. Thanks to rthy who could only make the barby but still came anyway. Thanks for Cameron for bringing his 25 along too, that little thing rocks. Well the 2spd makes it cool, and kept up with jarrad ok ;) The races were good too. Although we got there toward the end of the day there was still some good action to be seen. Porsche was alright and the HQ were a llittle boring because i was expecting a battle royaaal judging by the state of there pannels ;) . The BMW were good to see aswell, but by far the over and under 2litre races were the best to watch. Wish i could have got to see the rest of the races for they day but oh well. Talking to Steve who drove one awsome little ke25 sporting a neat 20V said that they also race at winton raceway. So we will definatly have to have a cruize to there from somewhere because i think that winton would be a much better track for them being more technical than calder. Who knows maybe there field will be larger next year? Jarrad, corey? Will post up some pictures after i resize a few of them, and don't laugh because 2 of the cars arn't corollas :P. Have to get some stickers too :P Overall, good day ok turnout but will expect more next time. Edited September 18, 2006 by muller Quote
muller Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 At the BBQ ;) you too :P rthy leaving for home as we cruise onto calder for some track Quote
muller Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 My personal favourite of the day ;) Would complain either. Just a couple of other cars that competed. Datsun 1200 coupe with a 20V. Datsun 1000 coupe with a...I'm not sure. don't know datto stuff, SOHC something. Ford Escort Mk1 and i dontknow what it was running either. Didnt look :P Mitsubushi Galant running an FJ20 turbo. muller Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 (edited) There was also a KE30 2 door sedan there with an SR20DE and it decimated all for the race that we watched. Just befor we left from calder. Dam me bringing a VT, but my rolla was tied up for that weekend. ;) Edited September 18, 2006 by muller Quote
MRMOPARMAN Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 that 1000 coupe was running an A series (i think he said a14) ohv engine, and the esky was running a cosworth twin cam head, probs on a pinto block. Quote
TheNOBBLER[RL] Posted September 18, 2006 Author Report Posted September 18, 2006 Hey sorry, it was the porche's, I was half asleep thismorning! I was going to post some pics but it looks as if Ash has it sorted! Muler, MRMPARMAN's rolla makes a good downhill racecar (as we later found out, shame you missed it) but he didnt like having to stop at the bottom! Will have to start organising the next BBQ etc. Thanks again to all who attended. Quote
Clown Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 CRAPPPPP I totally forgot and ended up at Heathecote. Spotted a Hi-ace rock up on a trailer and proceeds to do a 10 second pass off the trailer ;) Quote
muller Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 (edited) Yeah ive seen that black van run before out at heathcoat. Bit of a shock to see that do a 10 ;) I wanted to come have a look at that road but my old man was keen to get home for some reason, if i had brought my car i would have come along for a look. How was it anyway? I was thinking Springnats would be our next event unless people think we can or should squeeze another meet in between?? Edited September 18, 2006 by muller Quote
