Ive been locking around and every one has different options on what to use. I want to go for something big. (With in reason), but alot of people say stock (4ac) radiator are good and get them redone ?, other say aftermarket is the way to go :P

I measured up a cressdia (7m) and it would fit snuggly into the bay, but how good are they? My mums BF's just had a hairline fracture.....

if an ae71 radiator's anything like a ke30/55/70 radiator, get it recored with three rows and make sure you have a well shrouded fan setup

factory engine fan with half the blade inside the fan, half outside is the way to do it. i don't even run a shroud on my engine fan and it's fine

like nick said, a thermofan with a full shroud like fook's is also good, but more expensive and time consuming :P

I just used a VP commodore aluminium job. Mine cost me $90 complete (Trade price).

Goes in both KE70 and KE30 no problems and I have never used a fan, But a small electric fan would be all you need.

Youll just have to make some simple brackets for the side mounts. don't attach anything to the aluminium to body of car as this will corrode the core and use coolant.

If ya look at the pic (its a KE30), youll have to extend the top hose...the bottom one fits perfect with no modification, The plastic tanks have Fitting pins in the bottom, there is car/metal you can drill for the pins to drop into.

The two side top pins (you can see one in the pic) just make 2 small L shaped brackets the bolt to the radiator support panel...easy

The opening isnt as big as the radiator, you can make adjustments with a grinder if you feel the need.

Here in Tasmania it doesnt get that hot and there isnt that much traffic so i don't use a fan, But i do only drive the car one a week..$20 petrol lasts me about 6 weeks.

i used an "84 starlet radiator; it's only 1 row, but it cools better than the brand new o.e. one and with a heavy-duty heater, total capacity is only 5 qts....low weight

if i was anywhere else i would use a fan. 3 row brass and copper standard core would weigh 4X heavier, Is cooling to weight ratio is bad compaired to the VP aluminium radiator , a small fan would be heaps on this radiator.

I bought mine from a whole sale place, yes it was new, Sorry i can't tell you where i got it from, I can give you one clue, Its a big Australia wide company.

For $200 i can get an Ae101 S/C radiator in good condition shipped to Brisbane.

A lot of new VP radiators go for about $170 new on ebay

What would be better that or the VP? Cooling and Price wise.
