Yes, I've finally pulled my finger out, and Bluey is on the hoist at Chateau de Wayno's. It rolled in at 1400hrs yesterday, and work started half a stubbie later. Engine and box are out, interior out, body deadener out (mostly), and a certain amount of body ugliness found. New front left guard and valence panel sourced (thanks Fook!). If people want I'll post progress pics as we go. Here's a couple to get started.....

Engine out, average front end.....

A fair bit of ugliness on the LHS, but we'll get there. I'd like to add that my panelbeating skills aren't great, that's why my new Nav is helping (alot!)......

Seam weld, respray, brake upgrade, suspension upgrade, grunt upgrade, seat upgrade. Diff rebuild. That's about it. Should take a couple of weeks.

i think a better phrase for the origional redwrf is

a) Driver is at a point where he wont crash it to an un-saveable state

b) it just doesnt want to die - its got more lives than my cat.

c) its too good to just stop being used !! its the coolest corolla around :P

Blue car looks great rob :) - can't wait to see it again ;) !

Hmm, that front guard looks better than the one that's ON my car at the moment (after Qld Challenge last year anyway, oops), what's actually wrong with it? Can't tell much from the photo...

Beaver panel looks like it's had a few hits? :) I haven't had a good look at mine, but I think I remember it being okay. Not the best, but okay.

And hmm, that rear wheel arch looks like some fun :P Maybe you should just get flares and cut all that rust out ;)
