  1. 4 link and cage are all custom made by JDI Fabrications
  2. is their many restriction to aero mods in the field you compete in?
  3. probs a performance advantage to it, but I'm sure the car will be fine for now. might go coilovers down the line with strut tops and all done vertically down the line.
  4. yeah will be NA for now. Let my partner get used to the car with its NA power, then when she gets bored we might go more power down the line.
  5. Trumpets arrived today we decided to cut the bonnet out for trumpets clearance, Rebecca got her favourite tool, the grinder and made the first basic opening.
  6. Rebecca(owner of the wagon) and I finished all the fuel system in the wagon, and Rebecca welded on a bracket for the Brake line T pieces and now the brake system can be started. some pics of the braided line we did connecting all the tanks/pumps Start of the brake lines, ran out of time before work. more to come, trumpets should be on their way, then start on the basic loom for cluster/starter/alternator/lights, gotta make a hand brake for the master we have, then send it off to get the front tube/tubs done. but thats another day.
  7. Another update of progress Got the Dual callipers in Got the springs in, cut au falcon rears, 200mm free height, down to 150 compressed Sits the car like this, with no fuel system in the rear. (Yay blurry phone pics) Car will be getting front fenders chopped and welded onto the rear. The wheels tyres are a 15*9 0 with a 195/50 Got the beast tail shaft in And here is a picture of the gearbox X member for good measure.
  8. Update on progress with the wagon firstly, purchased some black top 20V itbs then the car was sent off for for the BEAMS install, so modified cross member, gearbox bracket, modified radiator, R31 diff, 4 link and coil springs. Beams in place Trans tunnel and on the driver seat is the new drive shaft. R31 Diff with the 4link ignore the wooden blocks, haven't had time to get the springs in. Thats bout it for now, I have the springs ready to be chopped, and 4 commodore callipers ready to be cleaned and installed. so will be doing that next on the weekend
  9. so now we have the decision of what motor to swap into it. i had purchased for my self a S13 SR20de that we were going to pull the motor from for this. but my misses had other ideas. she purchased this so now we are pulling the two cars apart in prep to swap the motor. we are going to just put the motor in with the factory loom/cluster ect to get it running then worry bout custom ecu ect later. atm I'm trying to figure out what to do for the fuel system ect. but fun times are ahead. car currently is completely stripped inside with a layer of primer laid down, Bec is currently picking a colour for the inside and the outside as the car is getting a pretty full on make over. also a friend knocked this up which we will chuck on eventually.
  10. Rebeccas Rolla "Vanellope" This is My misses project car an AE71 Wagon. when we got it, it looked like this now it looks like this Specs 1984 AE71 5 door wagon 4ac of fury 5speed slush box welded diff suzuki sierra shocks and reset leaves JDI Half cage S13 front coilovers/brakes/lcas ect future mods R31 rear axel (twin caliper, hydro handbrake) 4 link rear end motor swap so yeah that's her car, it'll be her project to work on and her car to learn to drift in. and a pic of her doing a skid for good measure. next post has what we are doing with it now.
  11. throw up some pics of my misses and my new project might start a build thread for this to document what we do with it
