  1. lets wake up this topic again. i got a standard 3t gte in my ke20 rolla havent run it down the strip due to a few engine problems last i dyno'd it was 154hp at the rears. this was with standard pump fuel, air leaks, old ugly and way too big for my car intercooler, and bodgy piping. also running on 4sparks not 8. maybe thats why its running too rich?? anyways, once i renew rego itll be off the road for a couple months getting everything sorted. spoke to my mechanic, he has previous experience with these engines and guarantees 250hp at the wheels with the same turbo. but me being me, I'm putting a bigger turbo. hoping to get over 300. when it happens ill repost the new dyno run and hopefully a 1/4mile run.
  2. do it once, do it right. worst comes to worst, fibreglass. you can get it from supercheap. after a rub down, skin coat of bog to prep for paint. if your not going to weld. make sure when you fibreglass to go a little further from the hole. use 80grit spaper before, gives it a rough base to hold onto. you best mate is pepwash before you bog or paint :dance: keep that in mind
  3. gave him a call, he knew his stuff and was a great help. turns out i got two plugs coming from the computer. i got the long one that is for the gm- and a different one connected to the same wiring but with smaller pins. ill put pics up a lil later. regarding the tuning and such. gonna see what i can come up with, with jhon. hopefully we can get things kicking right. worst comes to worst itll be aftermarket. according to an engine tuner i saw he said a haltech will plug str8 in. leaving it as a last resort. pics will be up shortly guys, again thanks for all the help
  4. ok I'm only getting more confused, mechanical i can handle, electrical makes me dizzy. is it possible to run the car with no dizzy, coils only? or something like that. I'm gonna ask about the info you mentioned, see what i can do. btw appreciate the help.
  5. a reply to both trev and bamboo appreciate the info. what i mean is, on the cap, it has two centre plugs and 8 around it. only one of the centre ones is connected, hence the single coil, and the 8 around, one is connected to the centre, ive been to a few mechanics and they got no idea. ill get some pics by tomorrow night or sunday morning
  6. ok ive had the ke20 for nearly 2months. yesterday i found out that this car is running a 3tgte toyota engine, with a HOLDEN camira computer. has anyone done this? has it been heard of? and what problems can it face? at the moment its running wayyyyyyyyyy too rich, $30 petty gets only 100k's thats with driving it like a baby also another thing i noticed, the 8 spark plugs are running off one ignition coil. can it keep up? and in the middle of the dizzy cap theres a spark plug cable instead of a coil one ??? am i only running 7 sparks? it does have a large cut out. some1 give me a few pointers.
  7. Isaac ke20 LOLA 3T GTE twin cam turbo, fiat diff, custom tail shaft and 5spd celica gbox stock fron brakes with cut springs (YUK) gotta change. Rear is disc brake off fiat diff, custom leaf springs 380pound rating 195/60/14" globes. keepin it old skool saab leathers front, soon to be the same seats rear. but got saab rear seats there now. original carpet and door trims. all necessary gauges rough as guts, but officially rust free. eyes are on fire from the mig. needs a block down and paint. any colours in mind guys? having trouble picking
  8. i was after more camber myself. went to a suspension place. they told me to go to pedders caus they supply special bolts that give that negative camber when put in. havent done it yet but give it a try. hope it works out
  9. if you bothered for the job. i recommend some SAAB seats. they look great and comfy. their not too large either. thats what i got in mine
