  5. Quick Update, In the past few months, I have been saving all my dosh... Today my rebuilt engine went into a work shop, to get a mild cam, valve springs, 3k-b carby etc.... Picking up a set of 14" steelies from Frank tomorrow... Ordered some new carpet and new headlining will be getting put in sometime next week. Whilst the engines' in the shop, i will take the car to get the little amount of rust out, ready for paint in the original yellow colour (whats your thoughts?).... Need some new original seat belts (anyone has some ill take them)... And that is about it for now... Ill take some pictures of the progress and keep on with the updates... Cheers Tom
  6. I was wondering if it is possible to just install a shift light without a tacho. This is just because i don't think a modern tacho will suit the ke20 very well, and i could easily hide the shift light itself... Cheers Tom
  7. Yeh its just the original paint that has been rubbed back. New owner is a member on here. Good kid. /quote] Thats my beast scotty.. un decided if I should give it a polish up... And cheers for the kind words Troy your a legend.. Cheers Tom
  8. Spotted a red ke15 wags going up osullys road yesterday...
  9. Hey guys.. some sad news... I have been told by my parents to see if anyone would like to buy my ke20... I am looking for around 3,250 it comes with so i'm told a fully rebuilt 3k engine and gearbox all that hasn't been replaced is the valve stem seals... I havent done much since Troy owned it and he did a detailed write up on the car. Pm me if interested or have any questions... Cheers Tom
  10. yeah ive already asked him.... they sell quick.... unfortunately just missed out on them.... Cheers for the heads up :)
  11. well by unanimous decision the quads are staying  Keep you posted! Cheers Tom
  12. Its been a long time since Ive updated... Today the engine goes into a work shop to get a cam, double valve springs, hardened seals etc... Hopefully he will split with his 3k-b carby set up aswell. :P As for the car, new roof lining and carpet will be ordered sometime this week. I have also found some 14" steelies that have been engineered to fit the 4x110 stud pattern... A quick question i am in two minds about the quad head light setup.... Seeings though I want to make it semi stock should I go back to original? Cheers Tom
  13. Woah thats a lot of research thats awesome... Thats saved me alot of time... I have emailed a few people including rim manufactures and tyre companies to see if it is at all possible. Ill keep you posted... Cheers Tom
  14. Yeah i like the size of the 12's as i want to keep the 20 semi original but i think widening them would look sick... But yeah tyres will be an issue...
  15. Thats what i was thinking, just was giving it a thought... Cheers heaps.
  16. Hey guys, just a quick question. I've been searching for a while for some widened steel rims and when i searched ebay it came up with 12" rims that were 7" wide which is basically what i want... It may sound like a stupid question but would i be able to run this on my car? Cheers Tom
  17. Hey, I have the option to either buy a original 3k-b twin carby set up or just the manifold. Obviously the manifold is cheaper but I am just wondering what i need to do to build up the twin system? Cheers Tom
  18. Thanks heaps mate, ill give it a shot. Ill keep you posted..
  19. Last Friday night, I went for a drive into the city, the car is fine on the way out the interior dash lights work as does the radio, sub, amp etc. Although on the return trip the dash lights went out the radio stopped playing and just turned off... The weird thing is that the head and tail lights still operated. Anyone know whats up? I was initially thinking it would have to do with either the alternator or the battery. Cheers Tom
  20. Thanks very much, yeah sorry about the lack of information and depth. Budget is as little as possible, but the information that you gave me was very helpful. Thanks again Tom
  21. Hey, Just wondering if anyone had a rough idea on how much engine parts are likely to be. All these parts are going onto a 3k. Cam, double valve springs, lightened fly wheel and then getting a carby rebuilt/tuned.. Any help would be awesome Cheers Tom
  22. A quick update, as I myself am in a financial crisis, my plans are bigger than actions at the minute. Engine wise, the car comes with a rebuilt 3k which i am looking at putting twin down draft carbys on it from the sprinter model... (still looking for manifold someone help me out) As for the wheel, I'm thinking that I will look at 13" mazda wheels.. For the minute i am painted the rear wheels black and it looks the goods. As for the paint, i am slowly polishing, with a original colour re spray in the planning. In side I have fitted two alpine 6x9's under the rear parcel shelf which is covered and hidden. Keep you posted..
  23. hey dude, i am running i think lows or super lows (king springs) which have had a coil cut. They are stiff and handle alright. But an issue if you jack the car up because they pop out.
  24. Hey, I have come to the realisation that, finding stock dual carby set up from the kexx sprinter models is going to be a tough ask. So I'm wondering if I could set up single carbys and set them up on a custom manifold? Has this been done before? If so is there any places in adelaide that would be able to help me out? Cheers Tom
  25. Hey just wondering as i know i will probably struggle finding original 3k valve springs and dual carby set up... but could anyone suggest where i would find the manifold and carby set up (aftermarket wise) Cheers heaps Tom
