ive a 4k (1.3) the best part is nearly every item to change on a 4k is interchangerable to a 5k though when you do what ive done mcguyvered a vacumm advance into the dizzy original air filter ontop of a 32/36 holley etc it gets messy but its still all bolt on bolt off or is it bolt off bolt on ? :P

been a while I'm dead broke :( GOT A 32/36 HOLLEY and ordered a lynx adaptor plate get that tomorrow sourced OUT A FEW BROKEN AND MISSING PARTS MISSING CHROME, button, working on the horn and bonnet latch just need to order 2 tyres after that and then i have a SAFE car - not stickerable still trying to find a 5k motor hopefully with a 4spd auto box ... anyone ?

I'm currently waiting for the adaptor plate for my 4k and then this weekend ill put it on and be making a custom linkage from memory ill prob just cut and old peice off and weld it in the right spot .. worked for a15 .. fully rebuilt 3 months ago cost me 200 looks brand new :D

best way to do the timing is get piston # 1 top dead center and line the dizzy up - take out spark plug and when it gets to top if it doesnt go 180 spin the dizzy- works on every car i ever owned ummm does anyone have a pic of the carby lines on a 4k? , i think i got mine wrong .. :(

absolute best way to do timing is get piston 1 on to top dead centre .... does anyone by any chance have a pic of a 4k carby "79 ? i did mine but i think i got the lines wrong theres like 10 of them ....

i like the trim its a corolla its old school and it came with chrome thats how you know its old ... hahaha lol as long as its not in your face chrome its great - a touch of classyup, I'm chasing the right rear half gutter trim in reasonable nick for a ke55 ill pay about 100 bucks freight is negotiable ....

okay. have decided 1.am going to rebuild carby on 4k motor in car and restore the car so can't be stickered 2. get a hold of a 5k motor and rebuild the whole thing 3. do coilovers and bigger discs on front. 4.transfer 5k into ke55 and take out 4k motor 4k 3pd auto will fit 5k ? to find out 5.get a bigger stronger auto gearbox that fits - research further later - t50 ? or w55 ? whatever . 5.1. drop something like an r31 diff and axles for the strength and rear discs 6. convert to manual thats not to hard .... right ? every 1 can laugh @ me now ;P

i am currently working on a table with all these things engine k, t, a year of release displacement model car its in the bore and hp and kw and etc IN 1 SPOT so its easy any help is greatly appreciated and yes i know most of its on here somewhere its just hard to find unless you know the site back to front

cheers mate ok so far - btw i am doing this all in work hours O_o i have 5k engine ( to get then rebuild ) - ke70 manual gearbox( mines auto so the whole lot clutch setup ) to probably some sort of disc brake rear axle and diff that can take the crap ill give as a daily driver - hoony :P and to suit : a custom tailshaft plus the coilovers and bigger but not to much choppy choppy brakes. but FIRST i have to make the whole car un stickerable goddamn canaries so ill be fixing the horn and one fuel/thermostat tacho cos they keep dropping out - together so its the connections or wiring ... so what 5-10 k ... i think ... sigh and ive only 1 k in cash atm hopefully that to get the engine and a rebuild and into my car with a gearbox to suit as is tailshaft and diff. haha

ah ... well ... they are a bit worn .... and not working haha ah well thanks also the horns not working from what i can see its hard wired right? no fuse anywhere i can see .. any ideas ? might just run a new one when i put the new wheel in - non cracked one. um sorry . how much for a genuine momo 13" steering wheel i got one for 5 bucks thats all was gona sell it
