  1. And sure people have bough ke70's for less... Maybe 15 years ago. Try finding a decent example of one with little to no rust, un molested and straight bodies for under $4000
  2. Oh and supply and demand ACTUALLY means. If a buyer is desperate, and can't find what he needs elsewhere because in fact doors just like any other ke70 part are becoming hard to come by these days - the price will indeed go up.
  3. I have a buyer, (demand) who needs it urgently. Just wanted to get general idea. I'd say if you're selling them for any less than $50 you're ripping yourself off. Let's see if I can get $500 for all 4 ;D
  4. Haha, you can't even buy a new door seal for 50 bucks let alone the whole door inc window. I was thinking more around the $100 mark. Supply and demand.
  5. What do you think the going rate on a whole ke70 door would be? Inc glass, no rust yadda yadda yadda.
  6. Also i forgot to add. I was doing abit of research myself and heard kaaz make a lsd center for a ke70 borg warner. Is anyone able to confirm that?
  7. Obviously the Jdm diff is probably the easiest option, but my guess is, just like everything else that's 'jdm' it'll be a shitfight to find one.. I've heard of fitting an r31 aswell as a hilux diff but that in my opionion is more trouble then it's worth as far as money and finding somone willing to do it. Locking/welding the diff is not an option! :P, no matter how well it may work, i'd rather spend spend the money on a lsd. As the saying goes ''do it once, do it right'' I had allways wondered about the corona! Being in the trade (apprentice) i work on an old fella's 84 model corona, everything on it looks identical to my KE just bigger. What model exactly would i be keeping an eye out for to get these disc brakes?
  8. So i've done abit of snooping around, questions about diffs have been asked before, just not the questions i want to be answered. And they allways seem to come back to the good ol' t18 bango.. What i wanna know is, what's wrong with the borgie? I mean is there an aftermarket lsd availible for it? That'd be a hell of alot easier than tracking down the original jdm diff.. I don't understand why people don't consider that option... Just sayin' personally that's what i want to do, i just don't 100% know if it's an option, and i was hoping one of the guru's on here would be able tell me? Also.. While i'm here, considering i want to keep the stock borg warner but change the internalls, what options would i have as far as fitting some disc brakes? Has it/can it be done? Cheers to those who bother to answer ;) haha
  9. Woah dude, it must have been pretty clean when you bought it? Interior looks imaculate. Quick question though, where did you pick up your chrome bumpers from? Get lucky on ebay or is their some secret rolla parts supplier on the web i haven't heard about?
  10. i think we should all update after tomorow morning, on what we got, and what we gave. It would be interesting to see the comparison.
  11. haha, gotta admit my gf isn't that bad, aslong as some thought goes into it she's happy. Mind you we're only a young couple, i'm 20 and she's 18. she allways seems to get me pretty cool present. I bought my KE70 a couple of weeks ago and it only has an am radio, she commented on this fact first time she got in the car. I can smell a head unit for chrissy ;) hahsahahahsa
  12. the tip on looking at what they point at when you're out shopping is a good one to follow. Though my missus points at all the expensive shit. Lol
  13. Haha, it's like the lingere, i buy for her and it gives back 100 times for me.
  14. so it's getting closer to that joyful morning.. And i'm yet to get my gf a present. only because i never know what the f**k to get her.. i mean besides some lacey lingere, which of course she's be fine with based on the fact i got her something abit more thoughtful. Anyone else have this trouble? Haha
  15. Thanks for clearing that up for me dude, you seem well clued up. My intention since i was about 13 years old was to have a 20v AE86. But this popped up cheap and i couldn't refuse. How much do you know as far as getting the car blueslipped once the silvertop is in? Would i need to get it enginered or should it just be alright with a blue slip. I've been told because the later model AE71 came with a 4AGE in it and it's practicly the same car, that you can get away with just a blueslip. This true or was someone tanking my chain?
  16. First off, i'm James. Just purchased my first car. An 83 KE70 along with and engine to re-build and fit. A 4AGE silvertop 20v to be exact. Anyway, my question is, because my rolla is an auto (ex shopping trolly owned by a nice old lady) and with the intention of turning it in a little dori monster i'm going to have to convert it to a manual. Now i'm not worried about the actual fitting of the box as being in the trade i have the tools and hoists at my dispence, what i do need to know though is what gearbox i should be sourceing? From what i've read it should be a T-50? My other question is for the time being i want to put the box on the back of the stock engine, while in the meantime i fix the 4AGE up. But what problems should i expect to occur when fitting the box to the stock engine? final question, does the T-50 bolt straight up to the back of the 20valve engine? I'm figuring it does seeing as the 4AGE block is the same from the 16v to the 20v, correct me if i'm wrong? I'm going of what i've read haha. Please be kind =p
