  1. check with service tas but there is a way it may be possible .they will point you in the right direction for getting it on the road .i was thinking about doing the same style of conversion but look pricey .good luck
  2. so where are you going to be driving this beast. if u ever up launceston way with the car send me a pm. would love to see it finished
  3. i don't know. i only new to this
  4. 4 stud. yes i have seen them. was a tyre fitter for over six years and speedy and performance wheels dealer is a mate of mine
  5. white ke55 sedan. $500ish
  6. well just found my new wheels I'm getting. performance lotus 14x6 20+. brand new and cheap. very happy
  7. can i suggest looking at this handy sight. we used it when i was a tyre fitter http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp
  8. ive been a tyre fitter for over 6 years now and doing strechies on rims can sometimes look good but fitting them can be a pain in the ass.when trying to inflate them and the bottom bead blaster don't work after a few attempts the we get out the pig(a hand held bead blaster the shoots out a helpful 120psi) and possibility of about 3 to 4 workers to get them on. luck has it that I'm not fitting tyres any more so i will be getting strechies on my rolla if i fine the right rims.
  9. i appreciate the feedback you have all given me. due to starting cost, and the 6 months before the rebate money is back in my pocket, seems that no gas will be going into the rolla. going to save my pennys and just work the 4k with a guy down here in launceston. we are hopping to get about 135hp out of the old girl. he has worked on toyotas for over 30 years and sees my ke55 as a clean canvas.
  10. ok kewl.
  11. has anyone ever done or heard of some one running a worked 4kc motor on dedicated gas due to higher octane. this has now become one of my maybe to do options.
  12. thanks for the help people. you all rock
  13. cheers.i'll give that a go and see if it works thanks again
  14. only had my 81 ke55 rolla for a week now and every time i need to lift the bonnet, the rear part, near the windscreen is getting stuck on the body. i have undone the bonnet bolts and brought the bonnet forward about 5mm but didn't make a diffence. any advice would be great. :bash:
