I'm not 100% sure. It wouldn't surprise me. I bought this rolla not too long ago after I "broke" the last one. Since I've had it I've replaced the clutch, had to splice a new ignition wire for my headunit straight from the ignition itself, and I have a feeling the muffler needs replacing. Never had 1 problem with the last one.

Would it be easier to replace. What's the cost on thermostats?

Yeah that's one reason I love the rollas is fuel economy. Still though can't wait to get a 4AGZE

Ive had a search around the forums and only found issues relating to overheating of thermos, but my problem is the thermo sitting well under cold for 2-3mins then sitting at the very bottom of the line, after about 10-15 mins it slowly goes up but i havnt seen it sit above 1/4 as i havnt driven it for more then a half hour. is this just some sort of quick fix problem or am i looking at something more serious. I can't just sit there and let the car idle for 15 mins before i want to give it a thrash

I'm running a 1.6 carby engine as well, and i had a look around for info and for the time and money spent doing an upgrade your better off buying an efi whole car. Id reccomend getting a 20v blacktop/silvertop or going all out and getting the 4AGZE.

well i have a complete ae92 for $1200 if youd like the thing runs and only just ran out of rego, i know its a little more than budgeted but its a complete car with no parts missing.

I have the IP.Board App for iPhone but I found it to be a hassle compared to using safari. A pure app like what they brang out for carsales.com.au type of thing would be great. I'm looking at rollaclub.com every 5 mins

How much are you looking at spending. Considering most wreckers have 4a-fc's and more to spare. It might be worth taking parts of a donor car

Yeah I was contemplating buying an AE93 SX with a silver or blacktop. Its probably going to be a lot cheaper if I sell my car for $1500 as is and buy one for $3000.

Lol at the hot rodders. I used to have the hatchback and now I've got the liftback. And I've been seeing a million hatchbacks around and it's making me miss my old car. Was thinking about selling mine soon and buying another hatch. And then I'll see how the paint looks on that

Is it a difficult process changing engines over and installing wireloom and ecu, where could I fit the ecu?

It's the original ae92 dark grey non metallic. I was thinking of same colour. I was gunna sand it and tape it. I'll shop around though

It's for my ae92. I'm sick of the lack of power the carby engine has. I have been thinking about grabbing the sx gear box and a lighter flywheel.

My mechanic gave me back my old clutch. Completely gutted, no meat on it at all. I'll put up a pic later

My new rolla is dark grey and seeming as its been in cronulla for 21 years it's paint is absolutely rooted. I'm replacing passenger front door and bogging the boot. But was hoping to find some way of getting the same colour cheap. Is there anywhere in Melbourne that does cheapy resprays.

Btw I will be getting aftermarket ignition, ecu, pod filter, fuel pumps, fans and radiator so I won't be needing help on those
