  1. Thanks for the suggestions guys! I ended up having to drill one of the retaining balls out so I could punch the pivot pin out. Wasn't the most fun I've had but another job done.
  2. Damn, no luck with the photo. Here is a link to the same as the fuel pump I have here in pieces. I have a 4k here also but the pump is slightly different with just barbed fittings rather than the threaded fitting on the 3k pump. http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/New-OEM-QUALITY-Mechanical-Fuel-Pump-For-Toyota-Corolla-KE30-KE35-1-2L-3K-C-/151771433480?nav=SEARCH
  3. Ahh thanks for having a look, much appreciated! As for taking out the pivot pin that was going to be my next step, but surely Denso designed these to be servicable easier. If you have one let me know how you go. I'm trying to upload a photo or two but am using the mobile version from my phone at the moment. With luck a photo should upload with this post.
  4. Hey Banjo, Thanks for your reply, however I have tried this and it didn't budge. It just feels like somethings going to break rather than come apart.
  5. I purchased a seal kit for the fuel pump in my 3k. However upon dismantling it, the diaphragm seems to be attached permanently and doesn't seem to have a way of being removed. Has anyone else had this issue? I have a NOS goss kit, part number 955kt which is supposed to be for a 3k.
  6. I posted up a couple of photos of my seat fix in my Ae71 thread. It was a very easy fix and it's still perfect and very comfy to this day :D http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/57414-nathans-ae71-daily/
  7. Hi fellow Corolla fanatics, Just a question as to whether a starter from an Ae71 4ac will fit an Ae82 4ac, both being auto. I don't have the 71 starter in front of me and I haven't pulled the 82 one yet. Would love to know before I spend any time pulling it out. Thanks Nathan.
  8. What about a crowd like these guys - http://www.performanceignition.com.au/home For a cost of course, I'm sure they could make one up with a set of point's and a vacuum advance to suit your needs. I'm not certain but it might be worth a look. I know that's the path I'd take if I ever go with a Carb 4Age.
  9. Thanks for your help guys exactly what I wanted to know :) Will probably find me posting a "Looking for a front bumper" thread soon haha
  10. Alright I'll have a play and see how I go. Does it all come off as one piece or do I need to separate the black plastic and the reinforcement inside? If you get my drift.
  11. Hey guys, this is probably silly but I'm just looking for someone to shed some light on the easiest way to remove the front bumper on my Ae71 (Slant obviously). It's looking a little sad and droopy and I was hoping to perhaps straighten it somewhat, is it possible with these or simply just find another one that's straight?
  12. Thanks! It was in a sad state to start with, just needed some good ole' tlc to bring her back to life
  13. Where do I start  Well last time I was posting I was having issues with the cooling system. Turn's out the head was cactus. Pulled it off and had to source another one as it was well beyond repair. I found a whole rwd 4ac in good condition for bugger which turned out great, it had all the water accessories still in excellent condition which I needed as mine were a little rough. (Thermostat housing, Water pump, pipe running under the manifolds, inlet/outlet on the back of the head) It was a great find and awesome for a part's bitch. Whilst I had it all apart I sent the new head away, and replaced anything I could. all the hoses, seals, gaskets, o rings, belts, you name it I changed them (You would be mad not to) I also got a new radiator for it seeing as the rest of the cooling system was virtually new, and the old one was pretty clogged up anyway. Picked up the required 4ac in the ae82 :D The old head, Some photo's of it coming apart So I got it all back together and running again as intended and it was excellent. No cooling system drams! ;) It was running well but not perfect, the carby was next as it was filthy when I bought the car and still filthy now. I had a spare one from the purchased 4ac (Part's bitch to the rescue) Off to Repco for a carby kit and a few hours of scrubbing and fiddling around with it and it was on and running  I was having trouble getting it running 100% and I was fed up with the mass amount of vacuum hoses this thing has so I decided to block them off entirely. Complete vacuum delete, except for the distributor advance. It made working around the carby area much nicer that's for sure. I also got it running just how I wanted it. Perfect. Other maintenance during the last few month's consisted of diff and trans fluid change, front wheel bearings replaced and just general oil changes. I also flipped the air filter lid :P I love the sound of the standard carby under load now as it made it quite noticeable. So, Where is it now and how is it you ask... Since my last post I have done around 20 thousand k's (It's my daily for work) and it run's like a dream. Sit's on perfect temperature all day long, in traffic, on the highway and up the biggest hills. Doesn't miss a beat. It gets a flogging sometimes and I just can't fault it. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across the country. I love it. I also was in need of some new tyres, A friend of mine had a set of 14x7 Bathurst Globe style wheel's for sale with 95% tread for cheaper than what I was going to pay for my new tyres. They're in average condition but definitely make the car look a little cooler  It might be mechanically excellent but its a little rough around the edges when it comes to the exterior unfortunately :( I don't consider myself competent when it comes to body work so I'm learning to deal with it how it is :P I haven't got many photos. Just a couple of how it is at the moment. Different angle with weird light produced this orange corolla strangely. (Not edited) I've probably missed a few thing's, ahwell.
  14. Not a dealer sticker either but something I picked up along my travel's for a few dollars, which I thought was rather cool. It's a novelty brake light for the back window. It's hollow so it could definitely be turned into an operational one.
