Hey all, I am wanting to get into speedway racing, and need as much info as possible. And i have noticed that a few of you are into it on this site. I need specs for build, catagorys, license, tracks, etc. Looking at building a ae82 corolla hatch or a something corolla anyway. Want to start from scratch. don't want to buy anyone elses car I have a basic understanding from what i saw growing up as my family was involved in this for quite a few years. But that was 20 years ago now.

Thanks for that. Managed to get them off with a screw driver. I didnt mark them but i was putting in new faces anyway. It actually looks quite ugly with it all back together. Buying ebay is always dodgy.

Hey all, I am trying to fit some white face dials to me ae82 atm. But i do not know how to remove the speedo & tacho needles. Has ne1 done this before or does someone know. Pls enlighten me people's

hey all, Since beginning to replace the gearbox in my rolla, I have decided to drop the tired old, blue smoke developing 86kw engine to rest and replace it w/ something a little better. At this stage I have decided on a 100kw 4age motor as they are still 1.6, bolt straight in & don't require u to change to much. I will be doing this with a mate who has done a few conversions already so basically i need a "Rip out - throw in kind of thing" this started out as just replacing the g/b to replacing the whole lot. This is a daily driver & does need to be back on the road within 2 weeks. Just pondering on a few questions & wonder if ne1 can help. 1) Are there any other motor/s that would do the job i am after without modifing too much 2) Can any one recomend a good place to get decent engines from I am Located on the gold coast & regularly in brissy 3) will a gearbox from a 86kw 4age bolt up to a 100 kw 4age 4) do i need to replace the exhaust manifold or will mine fit on 100kw 4) what model/year corolla did the 100kw motor come out in. 5) what sort of $$$$ am i looking at just for the motor(100kw)if anyone knows Any advice or help would be appreciated guys & girls

Good to see you there felix. My best was a 16.3 again but consistently ran 16.8. The pics are funnmy cause there is more smoke coming from the exhaust than the wheels.

Yeah i have cancelled the engine conversion at this stage. Its gonna cost too much to fit this engine so i am going to drop in a 4agze w/ turbo setup. A lot easier to do.

Hey all, NE1 up for some racing at willowbank this weekend (14th Aug ) I am racing my rolla again. Hopefully i wont blow anything up this week. Rolla is running better since head rebuild so hopefully will run a better time than 16.3 If u are gonna be there be ready to race.

Cheers for that. I have the engine laying around in my mates garage & I get that & the extractors for next to nothing. I need to get a gearbox though but dats all good. The engine came out of a nissan nx-r (Fwd) I have the exhaust off this car on mine already. Do you know where your mate got the fabrication done??

Hey all, Does anyone know if this has been done, or anyone who has done this conversion. - Sr20de into Ae82. What I need to know is - if the engine will go in without too much fabrication. ( Engine Mounts ) - Will I have to have custom driveshafts made or will there be some I can use. Wiring is not an issue as whole car will be rewired. Any info on this is much appreciated.
