  1. Whatever suits the diameter and height you want. No use copying mine because you could place the coilover spring seat differently. From memory i sat it at the height i wanted, measured the height and described what i wanted to the spring guy. Mine are king springs, seeing i still haven't driven the car i can't really comment on how they are :P I should probably get helper springs because at full droop the spring isn't captive, though this only happens on a jack. Well beyond how far it'd go while driving unless you went over a jump...
  2. Been signed up here a while but never really said much... Name: Bardin Car: 1973 KE20 Motor & drivetrain: CA18DET, GT28RS, R31 28 spline diff with billet axles, R32 front brakes, coilovers, drop tank etc etc etc etc etc Interior: Not done yet. 4pt cage, recaros. Will be retrimmed Wheels: 16" Rota RB at this point. Probably swap to a lower offset 15"
  3. Old dodgy photo of mine.. S12 hubs will give you 4x114.3, Z31 will give you 5x114.3
  4. Strut tube did not require shortening and i used an SW20 MR2 rear shock so i could get koni yellows. Otherwise standard R31 replacements would do
  5. R31 struts can be used if you either remove the dowels or drill out the bottom of the strut to keep them. Swap your spring seat over if you want to run whatever you have, or use coilover kit etc. Either user whatever R31 brakes are or use off the shelf caliper adapters to R32 4 piston setup. The kingpin angle gives you more positive camber though, which i have dialled out using camber tops.
  6. if i can be of assistance / moral support, let me know :no2:
  7. if the passenger seat of adams mustard homo-chariot is still vacant, i may as well come along :no2:
  8. i forgot to measure mine for you jono, mine was too short at the maximum undone-ness :fuzz:
  9. I'll put details up in a members rides thread, i'll put it up tomorrow night. Won't have completed pics up just yet until i get the car back from the shop.. Here's a rough idea of how the car more or less stands now, but with the addition of front end panels and an exhaust :)
  10. No probs, prob shoulda taken more seeing my camera is half decent.. but oh well. ETA on the car... end of the year maybe, at best. We'll see... I'll put a thread up, have a shitload of photos  I don't know what didn't suit who's agenda, but all i might offer (and don't get me wrong here, taking on the responsibility of organising this is appreciated to all involved) - is that printing up some maps or something, particularly with the details of the destination, wouldn't hurt. We were under the impression there was a pie shop at the first stop, which was MIA, and then we couldn't find the candy shop either. Bit more of a heads up on the day about this wouldn't hurt  All in all it was a decent drive, and as a consequence of meeting a few of you now, might see me around here more often :)
  11. Change on of them to your avatar, its lacking your bling rims
  12. I didn't take many pics, but what i did take is here http://picasaweb.google.com.au/bardin.hanl...lazCruiseJune08 If you want full res of anything PM me and i'll email
  13. So that everyone knows who i am on here as well, i'm Bardin, who was in adam's p00 mustard ke30. Don't really ever use this forum, might start... Have a ke20 ca18det in progress..
  14. I've made posts about my setup on here before, i'll put a guide up when its all finished. With regard to using XT130 strut in ke20, its a no go unless you change LCA or steering arm. I based my upgrade on the R31 strut as its a bolt in jobie on the LCA, and runs a similar kingpin angle.
  15. I got my hands on the dealer option ke20 aircon ;) I'm a long way off fitting it though.... lol
