Hey all, Recently my alternator has shit itself, so i need to try and get it fixed; As i haven't ever had problems with Alternators with any of my alternate and previous vehicles i have no idea what to do. My question to you, my friends, is; - Can it be reconditioned? - Are replacement alternators easy to find? - Can you purchase NEW alternators for the 4kc motor? - Is it worth just getting a new engine? - Can it be fixed? Let us know!

Beautiful car, there are quite a few lowlifes in this world and what amazes me is to learn how much more common these kind of things are now. Unfortunately, from what i've seen in the past, 90% of the cars if not found after the first week are stripped and burnt or touched up and resprayed into track cars. Hey all, So i'm not quite too sure about alternators in general; How hard are they to find for the 4K motor and roughly what's the going price for them? Also what would be the labour price for one to be replaced (Just so i don't get ripped off, :P). Justin.

I think I flooded my corolla, was cutting out whilst driving and now won't start because of dead battery. Won't be able to come down tomorrow mate. I work in Clayton though so I can come next week?

Hey all, Whilst driving at night and while my lights are on, the dashboard lights are going on and off. I have a feeling it's a loose connection for a wire because i can hear it sparking/clicking whenever it goes back on. It generally happens only when i turn or put my indicator on. When it goes off i have to press/play around with my indicator stick until it clicks/sparks back on and the dashboard lights stay on. My cousin that was driving behind me told me my rear lights were also flashing on and off so i think they may be connected to this; Any ideas on how i can fix this?

Any recommendations on where to purchase/look?

I don't think they're worth much, lol.

Hey mate looks good; One thing i wanted to ask; You replaced your dashboard - I didn't evne know this was possible; i have a huge crack in my dashboard at the top; Do i just purchase another one to amend that issue and will it go straight in?

Haha, i've got 18's on my Mark 2 Jzx100, so don't think i'd be downgrading to 17", :P. Well, yeah, i have these 17" CSA 114.3 that were on my 93' GSR when i had it, i sold it and kept the rims for whenever i may have another 4 stud'er. As i am doing nothnig with them and wheels cost like $700 i thought i might chuck them on just because it's better than the stockies. Yo peeps, Just wanting to know; I'm located in Victoria (Australia) and wanting to put some 17" 114.3 wheels on my car.. I tried them on but unfortunately the studs weren't long enough and it was hitting the suspension. Where can i source longer studs and spacers from and roughly what is the approximate price for a full set of studs and nuts. Reason i'm chaisng nuts is because the hole is quite small on the wheels, so yeah. Cheers,
