  1. Hi there could you send me an email of what you need exactly for corolla ke20/ke25 on [email protected]

  2. Transmision i.e t50 fitted perfect fit without any cutting or hammering. It was made to fit it. I was told that a certain type of t50 but does not fit due to different confing i think from the starter.
  3. So a small up date on the car, cut the part were the pro shaft literally was touching the car due to lowering a lot the car and made a new panel little higher that the original so that it does not touch the car. Really happy how it turned out. Next step is to grind the access welding hammer the panel from underneath and and add a new panel to cover the differential bell housing.
  4. Turned the car the other way round to continue the other side of the car. Started by removing old paint from the bonnet and i the result is a perfect bonnet for a 43 year old one!
  5. From time to time will will find those but not so common due to the fact that Malta is small and every one knows each other like so will know what other peoples history.. Maltese people really like cars and the restoring business of cars in these 5 years boomed. The old cars have a special scheme which 30 years over cars are named as classics and only pay 15 aud for road tax and around 150 aud for road tax roughly for a whole year and can only be driven 500 miles. That is good enough for a ride or two each month. So this helped the restoring business a lot.
  6. It is an mgb ready from paint. Next in line vw ghia
  7. He told you thanks. So Continued a little bit more work on the car. My neighbor cut and moved the part were the tyre was touching with the body.
  8. Continued rear end today by installing the rear shocks. Bought a pair of spax adjustable Krypton gas pressurized shocks. Lengths of the shocks are rear with closed length 261.25mm open length 385.25mm. They are slightly narrower than the original ones from top and bottom. Had to do some washers to get the gap distance but worked perfect.
  9. Do not know if i understood you correctly but are you looking for these? http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-BRACKET-FENDER-FOR-HOOD-BUMPER-TOYOTA-COROLLA-KE20-KE25-KE26-TE27-TE25-TE28-/152362214826?hash=item23797ee5aa:g:7H4AAOSw6DtYV-JA&vxp=mtr
  10. So continued a little work on the car. Leaves are ready and tried them on the car. i installed a temporary wooden block just to see what size i would suite best for my car and buy or cast the blocks. Had to do 2.5 inch block for the car to be good height. Car still needs glass petrol tank seats etc sow will lower a little more. As for the diff i changed my mind and going for a standard one. The bigger diff, had a off set in the diff housing from factory no center like the original one longer which needed shortening and converting the hand break setup which was going to be a lot of time consuming and money wise. Previous owner had told me that the 3k standard diff was a strong diff for its small size. The car will not be driven hard only just for Sunday rides that is why i am gong to take the chance. In the mean time i have to make some more body space for the prop shaft. The shaft needs to be shortened a little as well due to change of engine that is being done at my local engineer shop. As for the rear shock i had once found on the internet that camaro shock are shorter and few modifications to fit on the ke. Has any one done this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/232183190630?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Thanks.
  11. But wouldnt that be more stress on the turrets and mare chance the tyre will hit the body?
  12. I reverd the leaves just to see the car lowered. It will no stay like that..
  13. Yes thats what i am going to do to the springs hopefully by end of this week they will be ready and try them on the car. Due to differnet dimensions on the diff i had to cut the brackets and will have to do new ones and 99% which i will fabricate and will simulate at the same time lowering blocks.
  14. Started on the back end. Installed two rims with tyres and placed diff on the car to see how they fit. Originally i was going for a standard diff (the one that came the car with with a 3k engine) but the decided to go a little bigger due to chance of bigger engine and bigger tyres and did not want to finish the car and get back working on it. Dif came out of a corona and has to shortened around 5cm on left side. Had to make some room for the diff so there will be more room. In the mean time took the leaf to a guy here which is going to lower them the lowest possible and see how that turns out on the car. After fighting in and machining diff will go to blasting! Test fit on the old diff with revers leaf springs.
  15. How did you get the back lowerd like that?
  16. So got working on the car again no in better space. I arrange alignment of the steering to be in the middle and turned the steering. As anticipated i have to modify the rear part were the Tyre is touching the metal part (99% moved further back) After that i was thinking about the back which is a big hassle. I have to buy the tyres to be 100% sure what i am doing and get exact measurements, the car really need to lower from the back around 5 to 6 inches which is a lot with blocks. I was thinking for moving the mounting eye a further up but i am not 99% sure that the work involved is worth. Then i got another idea to turn the leafs up side down. I know it does not make sens a lot but i has really lowered the car. Has any one tried this and work like that? actually i think that how the car sits not from the back needs to lift up a little but i cannot be 100% with out tyres. Diff is all ready touching the body work so that needs to get a little bigger. If some one has a better idea how to lower that would help. Thanks
  17. Has any one tried putting a ta22 front sway bar on a ke25? I have my car (ke25) with a 2tg and had a standard sway bar but when i got onto fitting it with the car it wouldn't clear the engine due to the shape. Did anyone get into this problem? Thanks
  18. In the 70s we were still ruled by the english people so it was more popular to have an escort mk1 than a corolla. From what i know of there are only 5 left ke25 on the road and a bunch more ke20s 4 doors. Toyota was not that popular at the time and was more expensive o buy than an escort so not so much of toyota parts.
  19. Hi there thanks. Actually i used only the strut of the escort mk1, the hub is from a ke70 strun the lower part. I originaly planed to use a full ke70 strut but gaz suspension could not make a shorter shock with the diameter of the ke70 and it had to be a few milemeter wider. Due to the fact that escort mk1s here in Malta they are very popular and to find parts i went for an escort strut. It was a few mm wider and all that was needed is to bore a little the ke70 hub not that much to be in danger. So the hub and steering knuckled are from a ke70 and strut from a escort mk1 casing. To be honest if i was going to do every thing from the begining i would have bought a complete escort coil overs and would fit them in the ke70 hubs in stead of buying a coilover kit and ordering custom shocks. It would have been cheaper and more time consuming. Escort mk1 hubs have the steering nuckle on the front not as like the ke70 thats was on the back and i used standar steering and ford pcd is different from toyota. I hope i explained my self correctly. Thanks
  20. Finally got to install the shocks on one side with the actual rim. I installed a 185 45 15 tyre on an 8 inch front rim. At the moment the tyre is rubbing with the metal wheel arch (tub) when turning left and right, left on the rear side and right on the front side. Tyre needs as well a 5mm spacer from the hub to the rim. For now i just put the tyre for test fit later on i will have to put the car on a jack to see and modify were the tyre is rubbing.
  21. Perches have been finished and had time to build them up. I installed temporary two jubilee clips to hold the sleeves so i can the correct right hight for the car. Once calculated they need to welded with the strut it self. Need to try them on the car once i buy tyres for the rims. I have made a comparison from the original strut i have to the new ones i made custom. They are 4" shorter than the original ones. I will upload some more photos later on tried on the car.
  22. So a little up date on the coil overs. The strut had a metal washer welded on the under neath so the shock will rest on it. Then they were pressed into the hub. All whats left is a metal perch to fit between the strut and the aluminium sleeves. In the mean time i had change of plans with the rims, sold the old ones and bought a new pair of ssr mkii.
  23. btw this kif is suitable for sure if you have a 2tg with a t50 gearbox..
  24. Hi there these should be good to you. I used the same, but its better to compare them with yours. http://www.ebay.com/itm/TOYOTA-CELICA-TA22-CLUTCH-MASTER-SLAVE-CYLINDER-NEW-T50-2T-2TG-LT1600-/262499045301?hash=item3d1e298fb5:g:jTIAAOSwYmZXKW6l&vxp=mtr
