maybe your detent springs are week and not holding it in gear??? don't think oil has much to do with it!

prob cheaper to but a new one!!!

if you have put the clutch in the wrong way the clutch plate hits on the fly wheel bolts!

she's cool this is real helpful info :wink: so what jets and air's venturies and stuff would ya reccomend for 3tg high pistons bigger cams. i have no idea. did a bit of a google search and got a bit of a idea

if its only when your putting the clutch in that might be it.ive done that befor :P

was this your vavle clearances or vavle timing. well i have new soft mounts and a new maniold gasket but some thing eles to look at cheers

thanks fella's for your help. I'm hoping its not the vavles pretty sure its not because the vavle timing is spot on. ill have another play with it on the weekend see how we go. thanks heaps :P

nar not yet, should be alright its only a pretty fresh motor! and carbs are brand new basically!! what was wrong with yours??

ok ive got a 2tg with twin 45mm webers on it, I'm having trouble with it holding at constant revs roughly 3000rpm it back fires through the carbies, it revs fine but holding it at a constant rpm she doesn't love it! also once under load it has nothing just doesn't rev. she's got all new plugs, leads, points, condenser, coil tested fine and just checked vavle timing tonight and its all ok. any sujestions cause i have no idea when it comes to carbs :D cheers :P

yeh man got some brand new ones of ebay!! just needs a little more tuning but she does fly. i thinks she's around the mid 80's rwkw's!! don't no about singing though but she barks so bluddy loud.

that would be me parked on camble street, have been parking there for a few years now. finally got her back on the road. now have twin 45mm webers on the old girl! :jamie:

i have a 2tg head as well as a manifold!! also have a balanced and polished crank which hasn't been touched since i got it back from the machine shop!

ive got a manifold at home match ported to the head which came with the motor when i bought it so ill just chuck that on

when i do sell them ill sell them with the manifold i reckon cause ill have no use of it. but yeh they'll be pretty cheap :hmm: what would you pay for both carbs on the manifold??? just wondering???? as soon as i find some webbers ill let ya no cheers simon

they've both had gasket kits put through them about a year ago and when i got my car dyno tuned the other day i was told the accellerator pumps werent working properly. o and he had to solder the jets and redrill them smaller!can't sell them till i can find some webbers though. my motor put out 80kw's @the wheels with the solex's hopefuuly a bit more with some good carbs!

u prob don't want them cause one has a crack in it :hmm: thats why i need webbers]

um as little as possible :hmm: ive got trumpets and socks of my solexs i can use but if ya willing to sell them cheap enough ill have em. do you have linkages?? what condition they in? what would you want for them??

i saw nick in his pink corolla today trying to get on the brake out side of work and saw a blue coupe parked behind the pink corolla in cambel street. well i see them everyday cause i work with them but yeh. and i saw jonny t in his super charged 3k flying around the kingo round about a couple of days ago;)

urgently need gear box to bolt to my t series engine!

this is what i did to my ta22 2t mounts so i didnt have to modify the cross member by drilling a whole the same size as the main one next to the origanl whole it allows the stud to go through and make the engine sit further forward http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n4/rolla_1985/123456.jpg hope this helps
