You would probably save more weight by leaving the spare at home. What is weight of the car? The interior bits might save 25 kilo. Run it near empty and bump the tyres up to 34 psi. But i reckon you might be wasting your time and effort mate as to make the weight loss worthwhile the car will get defected. If the compliance plate says five seats, the cops expect seating and seatbelts for five. And don't say they wont pic you , those P plates are a magnet to cops eyes. Especially if you are "going a little harder". Not having a go but learn to drive in a granny car, then let loose in something that is capable of doing what you want to try. Rollas are great beasts, but they are not speed demons and the handling can be suss. Cheap to run, cheap to insure, reliable, and a shitload of parts around. Smelly

Can you swap heads? I am new to the 4A f/g/e circle. Or is it simpler to drop in a 4AGE etc? Cheers, Paul

Hi guys, I am looking at one of these as a little camping wagon but I have no idea what it is worth? It has 408K on it, and is in average condition, except for the head gasket. Are there any other drames to look for. I cannot find much on the 4AFE but I guess it is the baby version of the 4AGE. Thanking you for any help. Paul

Was good to meet up. and thank you Thommo for the real lights. Now for the bad news. On the way home I got hammered by the hail in that storm. Little beast was sideways skating on hail at one stage, and drove through water but never missed a beat. I was worried about the kids but they were fine. But now I after a KE70 bonnet, boot and RHF guard. Roof has some scars too. In white hopefully. Can anyone help? Cheers, Paul

Happy New Year all. My beast has the old yellowish light rectangular selaed beams. As you are all aware, these lights are very average. Therefore I am looking for an upgrade. I am not sure if to go for the Hella H1 replacements, and any extra relays wiring etc, ar are there any alternatives out there you guys may have tried? And yes, I have done a search, 11 pages of it. Mate, I am not sure I would flush it with the engine running. Might cause damage and burn yrself. Turn the heater on and let it run for a mo to ensure you run water into the heater as well, and it will get flushed as well. And make sure the engine is NOT hot when you flush it out, as hot metal has a habit of cracking when hit by cold water........ I found out the hard way. When you finish, let it run for 10 or 15 minutes with the radiator cap off to make sure you get any air bubbles out of the system. Paul

I went and met Jeff ?? and some guys from the Celica and MR2 club. I was handing out stickers for my son that works at a tyre place in Q,beyan. Was bloody hot there, lots of nice cars, old and new. Lots of ideas. Paul
