  1. Who is good on Sunshine Coast/Brisbane area? Before that anyone on rollaclub have a friend or is willing to undertake the rust removal on my 20 for a dollar sum wink wink
  2. where are you getting it tuned? i think i remember you saying you live on the sunny coast....
  3. oh, you said 25 not 55 aha. ill find some pics of one and do it sometime. maybe a te27? aha, don't even know what colour i want to get it sprayed, this thing doesnt help. every one i have done so far is fluro pink or yellow or purple
  4. i have a 55 so i will take some pics and do it tommorow night. did the 20 because i just bought one and was mucking around with colours, its the new project car oh and its missing wheels becuase I'm lazy ;p
  5. Not sure where i should have put this but here seems as good as any. Tap into that inner child in you, best design wins a high five! rules: copy paste, edit with image editor of your choice. should be sealed so just use fill tool or whatevs, let me know if it isnt and ill fix it.
  6. how hard was it to fit the 2t into the 20? ive heard there isnt much room..
  7. a clean shell straight shell rust free shell to put my 2t/3t into, don't care if its in primer or if its gold plated. thats all
  8. Hey guys, due to some deliberation on my part I'm not using my orig rolla for a engine swap, want to keep it as a runaround so now I'm chasing another rolla, pref 2 door, does not need engine/gearbox, interior condition not bid deal (will be stripped) only concern is that it is basically rust free and straight. Live on the sunshine coast but can travel to get it. Thanks, Nathan *sorry mods wrong forum can you please move? ;)*
  9. sorry for the silly question, but the steel case celica is box, is it a ta22 celica box? if so arent they the same?
  10. Ahh ok, i picked it up during work at around lunchtime yesterday and didnt leave till 11pm, so when it wouldnt go on easily after looking at it for 10 mins i left it and went to bed. i have a stock 2tg one somewhere so ill just use that as a template. As far as the linkage is concerned i may just get it done when i get the carbs jetted and fitted, unless i can find a weber/dellorto linkage with instructions. The uprights on mine atm are made of plastic, as are the ends of the arms (yellow boxes in pic). They probably work fine but it just seems sketchy
  11. I was quoted $280 for a linkage kit from Redline, got a brand new lynx corp? by memory one off Ebay for $90 posted. Not much problem atm as Redline sent me a 40mm manifold instead of a 45mm and hurrah! it wont go onto the block as they drilled the holes on a angle
  12. Thanks that would help heaps Styler Medicine Man did they do the jets in yours at Warana? Thanks for the pic, can you give me a close up of where each arm comes off the main bar, and where the uprights for the br connect to the manifold?
  13. Ok guys, i have searched the forums and tried searching google but to no avail, bought a lynx corp twin sidedraught weber/dellorto (for dellortos) and I'm lost as to how to connect it all up. Have a slight idea as to how it works but not down to exact details. If any one has a link to help on them or can supply close up pics of their set ups it would be a huge help. Thanks in advance for any help, Nathan
  14. thats the place that quoted mine at $280
  15. I am buying a redline manifold to suit weber/dellorto 45m carbs, the linkage kit they are telling me to use is for a weber's when i have dellortos. Does anyone know if they are the same, the salesperson "thinks" they are the same but isnt 100% sure, don't want to spend the $260 to find out it isnt so any help is much appreciated.
  16. very clean and would be a mover. is the hilux diff lsd and drum brakes?
  17. Very Nice, looks extremely tough with new stance. Lets us know how it handles when you get engine back together.
  18. http://forums.toymods.org.au/index.php?t=m...rt=0#msg_321059 lots more info
  19. ill check my engine when i get home tomorow but i think it was the 222 220 head that was the better, one had double valve springs from memory (not at home so can't really check) and a 6 bolt front plate rather than 4
  20. Redwarf, theres a few pople waiting to do that... But a corolla making that sucking sound would also be great
  21. yeah ive got dhla 45's, still havent heard it running because i can't find time to do the engine swap :/
  22. wasnt chasing huge power, just wanted to do a 2tg rather than 4age for ease of conversion and could do almost all the work myself. the engines i am talking about had alot of work done, to the point there were no stock internals, just repeating what i was told and that is that his 4age didnt make much more power but cost a whole lot more.
  23. I'm talking about building na engines, parts to build a tough 4age are going to cost alot more than a 2tg, i got lucky and scored a 2tg that was already worked. the guy i bought it off now uses 4age's and it has cost him alot more to build it than the 2tg. btw wasnt the 4age a mass made version of the ford bda?
  24. Exactly what i was told when i bought mine, also that with a 4age and 2tg both will make roughly the same power till a point, then the 4age can make more but costs extreme amounts of money to do so
  25. you are talking about a 2t with 3t crank etc to make a 1.8? i have one, hasnt been put into car yet (no time and want to do brakes etc first) i bought mine built already, i just lucked out when i found this 2t that all the work was already done. I know what was been done to it but not the intricate details of how and costs. (waiting on reciepts, spelling?) also is this the link you were talking about? http://www.toysport.com/Technical%20Inform..._tech_notes.htm Redwarf the 2t in your 25 has alot more work done i take it? i have heard of 2tg's that can make 160rwhp. lots of work and money tho sorry wrong link, this was the one i was thinking of http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/4883/2tg-tune.html
