yeah i have the cases, but behind the seats has been abit mutilated (looks like there was some sort of audio install) so they don't sit perfect but they are in there nice and safe. yeah no rear wing is a winner, hands down look better without. though i am getting it off the previous owner, along with the passenger side intake scoop. don't know if i want it on, shall see. drove it up the coast to marcoola (gf's mum has a house on the beach) last night, no dramas, bar not realsing boost in 5th is licence gone time, so took it nice and easy. went for a drive up to my old home maleny, and back down through montville/mapleton. handles and stops so well, abit of feedback though the wheel when braking from 100km but no biggy, will get it checked when i find a workshop I'm willing to trust (suggestions? trev I'm looking at you...) new pics when I'm back in brissy, brother is overly keen to try out his new lighting setup. and any sunny coast rollaclub members, ill be out and about tonight and tomoz visiting friends on the coast, if you see me give us a toot.

broom vroom! edit: should probs give a few details its a 93 SW20 MR2 GT Targa, picked it up Wednesday afternoon. Came with, Microtech LT10s, exhaust, manifold, most annoying bov ever, pod filter, ARC I/C, new coils leads etc, tein hd flex suspension? and some HID lights. its a little rough up close, too low, cramped inside and being smaller than everyone scares me. but so much fun to drive. hopefully be at all toyota day! my brother does photography and will take more pics soon, these are from the seller (the hint is in the carsales watermark ahahaha)

Ok basically what i knew already, but the collective knowledge of every other forum i checked amounted to not alot. Sunday is the day i look at it. AFAIK theres no major engine work. allthough it does have a LT10s and hand controller which suprises me. (even though i know nothing about aftermarket engine management being a carby boy)

Yo bro's, my ke55 is about to die and i do not have enough money or patience to maintain 2 old rollas (i like the 20 more... it shall stay on as a project) so, ive decided to buy a toy to drive when needed. i live in the cbd so i drive for shopping, to the girls house and thats about all. a sw20 has been a dream since i was in primary school, and hopefully by next week should have one. does anyone on here own one/previously owned one? i know to check minor stuff but anything mr2 specific to check for? ps. I'm expecting to be shot down for choice, but my choice is my choice. cheers mangs

If you're reasons for doing this are to be different, then congrats. But if its to try and prove a point, grow the f@$k up and listen to people opinions. You're biggest mistake is claiming this is for engine longetivity, ill be sure to let every v, boxer or flat engine layout owner know they are going to have issues doing '360's at 8000 rpm'

That's actually fairly ridiculous.

That exhaust mani makes me sad its not my car.... for total sleeper steez paint the intercooler to make it fit in with the front of the car. Other than that good to see people buying genuine ssr's and not cheap copies. Good luck with it all, certaintly one of the tougher ke's with the times to back it up

Let the kid do as he sees fit, put a commodore engine in, or if you think you can get around the laws go for it. But a 20v will sound better, teach you how to drive and won't drop in value like a hacked up 86 with a boat anchor in the front will. Oh and it might go around corners

The ke30 was up in rides for abit? If so I remember it, I say get cams. Only because its basically past a sane point, may as well chase higher numbers for dyno etc. Would be mega fun either way

Wow a fair bit of blatant pointless bashing here....... electric fuel pumps can cause problems with carbs if they are a high pressure pump. Go for the highest volume possible but with a fairly low pressure, and it won't cause problems. High pressure pumps can destroy the floats and jets etc in a carb. Funny how one person says something and everyone else jumps on the flaming bandwagon

i remember seeing this for sale, was so tempted to buy it. keep the wagz, i have only seen one other 4agte aexx wagon about. oh and trevs but its carby fed :D
