  1. well if you're interested in prices for the formula atlantic here's a price list ... just be sitting down when you get to the crank shaft price :y: http://www.toysport.com/New%20Products/Atlantic.htm and this is their list of race engines, second hands, imports etc ... http://www.toysport.com/webpages/WebUpdate...MARCH202002.htm
  2. yup ... when it comes to corolla mods you're definitely got a guru there in rollaboy ... as he said, the ideal way of lowering a leaf sprung car is to have the springs reset ... closely followed by just flipping springs ... but I have to admit the only problem i've had with lowering blocks is that the ol' beastie is more or less on bump stops and the ride is fairly unforgiving ... but then again ... they're 3" blocks :'(
  3. well ... I have to admit that I did something bad to my poor rolla's original 4K around the 145k mark ... started blowing smoke and burning oil about that time ... sooooooo I replaced it with a 5K at 265k when it was surprising how much oil you can burn and still consider it a petrol motor and not a deisel ... let's just say it could still turn both tyres into a cloud of white and do speeds we can refer to as "licence impairing"
  4. that's cool :y: I forgot I was the noob here ... too many years around the traps ... and sorry, didn't meant it to sound indignant ... I literally meant it as an offer to confirm it for you ... all good :y: here's something for y'all to research ... I can't remember how accurate it was, but there used to be a designation system around the colour of the blocks ... I know of Ks coming in red, geen and black ... I was told it was something to do with the number of engines that had been made on that particular set of tooling ...
  5. hmmm ok ... yet another option to look into
  6. well, if you have any troubles, just drop me a line and l'll take a photo of the compliance plate ...
  7. I've found one mistake in your listings for the KE38 .... they came with the 4K-C motor ... your listing only has the 3K-C I only say because we pulled a 4K-C black motor out of my KE-38 when we threw in the 5K ... the 4K then got rebuilt as a rally engine for a KE-25
  8. folks ... just out of curiosity ... where does everyone get their hands on the 7Ks?? I wouldn't the foggiest ... and it looks like an easy upgrade (compared to some swaps I've been considering)
