  4. ke55 pedal box ~ will AE71 booster fit?

    Hi, currently chasing a ke55 booster but having trouble sourcing one.

    I have found a AE71 booster interstate, so unable to trial fit to see if it fits.

    Does anyone know if it will, or what other booster will fit the pedal box. 

    Will buy a 55 booster if someone on here is selling 

    Using ke55/70 discs (on a project non corolla car)

    Yes- About 50years ago I put my Lotus Europa in for service and they broke the bit off the bottom. I found it had happened before & been welded, but the mid-mounted North-South engine had a torturous path to the gearbox and a lot of stress on the lever.

    There's a couple of other spots where a pin could break or selector jump out, but you'll only find out when you strip it. Start with the getting the gear lever out & have a play with the selector rods before you pull the whole box.

    It went from reverse to first and then stuck there 

    Can move the gearstick as if it is in a mixing bowl.

    Could of the ball on the bottom of the gear stick broken off - is that even possible.??

    Havent looked at anything yet as car is about 100 k's from home when it broke down.

  9. Brake size query

    I have had machined up (years ago) a ke55/70 front stub axle and pressed into my project car. This was so I could just use a complete 55/70 front btake, running 14" rims.

    I am now going to use 15" steelies.

    My question is, does anyone know what larger brake unit fits the ke70 axle - ie: same size bearing etc, so that it will slip straight on as the smaller one would.

    It was Postman Pat's last day on the job after 35 years of carrying the mail through all kinds of weather to the same villages and towns.
    When he arrived at the first house on his route, he was greeted by the whole family there, who all hugged and congratulated him and sent him on his way with a gift cheque for £50.

    At the second house they presented him an 18-carat gold watch.
    The folks at the third house handed him a bottle of 15-year old Scotch whisky.
    At the fourth house he was met at the door by a blonde in her lingerie.

    She took him by the arm and led him up the stairs to the bedroom where she gave him the most passionate lovemaking he had ever experienced. When he had had enough they went downstairs, where the blonde fixed him a full English breakfast ~ Bacon, Eggs, Sausage & Tomato with freshly squeezed orange juice. When he was truly satisfied she poured him a cup of steaming coffee. As she was pouring, he noticed a £5 note sticking out from under the cups bottom edge.


    "All this was just too wonderful for words," he said, "but what's the five quid for?"

    "Well," said the  blonde, "last night, I told my husband that today would be your last day and that we should do something special for you".
    "I asked him what to give you".
    He said, "Fuck-him. Give him a fiver."

    She smiled shyly and said, "The breakfast was my idea"
